There were individuals who resorted to violence and were prosecuted, but most were involved in another constitutional right, and that's the right to petition their government.Your comments here suggest that you misunderstood a few things.Perhaps you were out of the country when J6 and the subsequent weeks of trials and political upheaval took place in the courts and Congress. Let's catch you up.
The events of January 6 were not just a protest, they were a direct attack on democratic institutions. Trump and his allies attempted to overturn a lawful election, an act that goes against the very principles of our republic. Their actions and rhetoric that day and beyond have exposed a dangerous disregard for our core values. The attempt to undermine electoral processes, sow chaos, and sidestep accountability poses a severe threat to our democracy—one you seem unwilling to acknowledge, despite the clear evidence broadcast across every major news outlet.
Trust me when I say that beginning on Jan 20 2017 the democrats spent untold resources in an attempt to engage in a soft coup. Crossfire hurricane, The Mueller investigation, illegal wiretaps, two sham impeachments, FBI using gestapo tactics on Trump surrogates, FBI caught in actual lies on FISA warrants and on and on.
Trump supporters lived through 4 years of frustration caused by democrats and their unethical hateful behavior, constant badgering of a legitimate president. Spare me your fucking bullshit. You don't hold the moral high ground. Now the democrats using hate speech like Trump is a fascist, Hitler, a threat to democracy which is nothing more than a ploy to get him assassinated while hiding behind the veil of plausible deniability. Democrat politicians are an evil power hungry America hating lot of scumbags.
As for voting, I'll certainly do my part to defend democracy at the polls if I'm able to get there on November 5th. This election, like all others, matters deeply for preserving the freedoms and values we hold dear. What little time I have left to enjoy those, I want to treasure them each passing day. I want to know that real Americans still believe in democracy in a manner that I grew up with, not like the way Trump expects his idea of being a mini-dictator or as a personal vendetta against his opponents, sowing hatred toward foreigners and fellow Americans alike.
