I was always amazed how guys worked in my industry and couldn't read a tape closer than a quarter. It's your fucking job - learn it!!!


I solved a problem at work one time by knowing a bit of metric conversions. We had a piece which the contractor had not cut the 25mm holes in, so we needed a 25mm Forstner bit to drill them. Of course, there are none. I asked, how much difference would it make if the hole is .44mm too large. I was told that it wouldn't matter. So I said, one inch is 25.44mm and they have one inch Forstner bits all day long. Problem solved.

Keep Frank. Do you need the boat? One less thing to fiddle with if you sell it. You can cut grass yourself - Mom did well into her 70s. Don't let the bed guys back in the house. The paperwork will be easy enough.

Awww! Thank you, Wat! I did sell the boat once, then bought it back when the guy moved off the lake. I thought he was a friend, but OMG, did he and his family trash that boat! I would have never bought it back from him if I'd known what shape it was in. He'd had it wrapped and basically dropped it off, took my check, and skedaddle.

I do love this boat. I like taking it out on full moon nights for pictures.

They weren't bad, just had opinions that didn't mesh with mine. They did do a good job of setting up the beds.

Frank is a good guy. He has clients all around the lake and in other areas. He acts all mean and curmudgenly but he's really a softy.

Today, however, was what I call a slug day. My girl and I slept on the couch most of the day. I did need the sleep. Since the rainy season has started, I didn't feel the watering system was a high priority. I canceled the 0900 appointment for today then went back to sleep. I'll reschedule with him later. I figured he probably wouldn't want to be out in the torrential rain today, either.

Morning all!!

Time to tackle the day. We’re gonna sleep in a bit. Was up late watching the baseball game.

Have to find a better desk for working from home. Yes… embarrassed to say I’ve been using an old sawhorse and solid old door for my desk. It’s not cutting the mustard.

Then it’s working at the farm.

No rain so no lawns to mow!

I want to clean out our pole barn this weekend. I gotta get my Torino wagon running. Found mouse droppings inside it which is not good.

Mouse droppings INSIDE the vehicle is never a good sign!

My husband wanted more real estate for his desk than the desk he was using. He took the top off and put an oak door stained the same as the oak desk onto the drawer pillars. It's a nice, big desk top! It's now my nail station.
