Kamala’s 2024 Presidential Run

I don’t believe there is an official thread yet. I’m not show tuney enough for Shiny Girl’s thread.

I’m loving the enthusiasm, the record breaking fundraising. Don’t let anyone down play that. The volunteers she has at her finger tips. She’s a machine and the was brought on by people donating small amounts of money. Plus, 60% of her donors were first time donors. Then there is this
Did anybody see her interview last night on 60 minutes? Where our terrorist sympathizer in chief REFUSED to back Netanyahu! What sort of Anti-Sementic scum wants shit like her in the White House?

Kamala Harris’ actual stance on Israel:

From the interview:

More specifically, Whitaker questioned Harris about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s resistance to U.S. calls for a ceasefire and escalating tensions in the region, including in Lebanon against Hezbollah.

“Does the U.S. have no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu?” queried Whitaker.

In response, Vice President Harris said diplomacy to ensure a ceasefire, hostage releases and a surge in humanitarian aid in Gaza is an “ongoing pursuit.”

“We’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders,” said Harris.

Whitaker further pressed Harris, asking the presidential hopeful if Netanyahu is a “real close ally” of the United States. The vice president sidestepped the question. Instead, she said, “The better question is do we have an important alliance between the American people and the Israeli people — and the answer is yes.”

👍

Brilliant response.

If Netanyahu wasn't PM, Israel would be a pile of rubble, with Jew hating Joe and his cronies dancing on the dust. The only other PM to stand up to the terrorists was Menachim Begun.
Do you have a time machine? Because it hasn’t aired yet.
It aired on CBS last night, October 6th. No time machine needed.

Maybe where you live, but they’re airing it here tonight. I’m guessing because NFL.

all that aired was "a clip"
the interview is being shown, for the first time and in full, this evening

So far this is a great example of how we give men a pass and put women on trial.

No one from CBS has ever handled Trump this way in an interview. NABJ came the closest.

People in this country have such a bug up their asses with having a woman as president.

Saw one of those goofy let’s have lunch in some podunk town on CBS Mornings. A woman was asked about Kamala being the first woman president and I thought she was a ventriloquist dummy with some white old racist’s hand up her ass—saying that a woman couldn’t handle being president. What brainwashed idiots.

Yeah not impressed with Bill.

She's handling his bullshit well.

I saw the clip this morning on CBS. Yeah I wasn’t either—especially when he gave her the “you didn’t answer the question” bullshit.

Where the fuck were they when Orange Fuhrer projectile vomited lies all over the country??

I wonder if Trump would have received the same type of grilling had he not pussed out like a Confederate soldier running away from a battle.

Nope. They would not have. They never do. They sanitize and baby him, accepting what he says and do not grill him.

They give him the defacto man trust.

a few days ago, now, i saw a clip with about 5 or 6 little kids from the same classroom being asked who should be president, and shown the pics of both candidates. I'd guess their ages were about 8, something like that.

there was a fairly refreshing blend of comments ranging from "do i chose the liar or the felon?" through to "It'd be great to have the first woman president for America." These kids were a blend of skin shades but it was the little whiter-than-white girl who didn't seem up on anything political (no reason why she should be) that saddened me: she looked at both pictures and said "well, he'd probably be a better president because he's a man, but she's pretty so maybe. I don't know."

This is the bullshit we teach girls from a very young age.

It enrages me as it has had a profoundly negative effect on my life - and on so many women.

2016 taught me that men don't deserve the defacto trust. That they must re-earn it. And so far, on the whole... they haven't.

Two things from that interview bothered me:

1) Kamala could have gone harder on DonOld over his cringeworthy “I am your protector” comment: DonOld is a rapist; full stop.

🤬

2) Kamala repeated the trope about some people realizing only AFTER the SCOTUS overturned Roe that it was a bad thing to overturn Roe for XYZ reasons, when all the reasons why Roe shouldn’t be overturned were constantly pointed out BEFORE it happened. At some point, Democrats have to start highlighting the fact that the information about the negative consequences of Roe being overturned (and other things, like climate change, etc) WAS provided, and it was ignored.

Democrats have to lean into their superior intellect and prescience.

Intellect and prescience are critical elements of leadership.

Fucking wow... crazy. A completely fucking different demeanor from Bill for Tim Walz.

What a fucking dick.

The guy you're talking about let the worst attack on the Jewish people since world war 2.

Bibi reacted to the attack...he didn't defend shit
The guy should have been rotting in prison by now, but he was allowed back into power. Benny Gantz wasn't perfect, but I doubt that October 7 would have happened on his watch.

not watching it right now as H is busy with a tv series and i honestly feel a little exhausted—slept badly last night and that messes with my head like a mother—what with politics and weather and wars, it's overwhelming atm.

The part with Tim Walz was shorter. I am looking for more video but I'm not sure I'm navigating the site properly.

Open face, open smile, humor in the eyes. When he asked Tim Walz about the "lying" about Tienanmen he was more like he had been with Kamala Harris. Then they shifted to the economics of Minnesota and it was... feather weight. Nothing about how it was afforded, nothing about how it was implemented. He basically challenged him with Trump's talking points, smiled and accepted Tim's answer without a challenge or even a furrowed brow. Then went on for a few moments longer more pleasantly and casually.

It was... unreal.

This. This bullshit right here is why men have lost my trust. I no longer believe the majority of men are fit for leadership, especially if they follow the competitive aggressive model. Any woman that follows the male competitive aggressive model is also not to be trusted.

I'll take the female cooperative communicative model thanks.
