Hey, you’re back!View attachment 2385340
Grilled tuna with salad, deep fried rye bread and a sauce made of yoghurt, mayo, lemon, capers, garlic, parsley and sandwich cress.

Haha, can completely imagine that conversation taking place. It was really, really good!
I had a wonderful dish in Binz this summer, called Vitello Tonnato 2.0. It was grilled tuna with veal tartare and a lemon and capers mayo.
When I saw tuna steak in the shop, it kind of sneaked into the cart and then it developed into this as Mr Althea and I talked about it.
The reason he got the deep fryer, was because I had deep fried rye bread in Denmark and he said he could easily make that at home, if he only had that deep fryer he had been looking at…

Our police horses are moving from where they have been before by the race track.Haha, can completely imagine that conversation taking place.
I just saw a police horse earlier this evening (the reverse Pippi horse) and thought of you, so it was nice to see you posting here again after a while.

It’s so nice when the veggies are at their peak. Makes cooking very easy and tasty!Quick, easy, delicious,
wife's homegrown Poblanos and a Giant Marconi, stuffed with Boudin and baked.View attachment 2388140
Yes Ma'am, I LOVE it when the fresh produce is abundant, especially the tender, straightneck yellow squash! It’s so nice when the veggies are at their peak. Makes cooking very easy and tasty!
Today’s lunch is beet croquettes (store bought because of today-me’s schedule and yesterday-me’s laziness), fried egg and horseradish sauce.
Dinner is salmon, chanterelles and zucchini.

Because Kaiserschmarren is comfort food at its finest and edible despite having razor blades stuck in yout throat - well, at least half a plate or so.
Bit less sore today, so I might try a bit of hot and sour soup with egg drop for lunch.
Kimchi is so good! What kind do you make?Still debating for today. Last night I had red pesto butter beans and it was incredible. Wanting to make something today that has some leftovers.
I might make a batch of kimchi today. Wishing I were near an Asian market to get some Korean chives.
This looks very inspiring, I’d be happy to get my hands on all that!My Wife sent pics of today's harvest. Does anyone else notice the subliminal message?View attachment 2388880
Yum but I’m sorry you’re not feeling good!I was going to mostly have a weekend to myself, but I got sick.

YUMMY!!!It’s baking weather!
Focaccia(-ish) is in the oven, cardamom bun dough is rising. I haven’t decided what form to bake the buns yet. I might make some with cinnamon filling as well.

Proof of life upon request!Baked salmon and parsnips with sautéed sheated woodtuft mushrooms. Drool.

I find it interesting how often ham is mentioned in this thread, because in my world ham only ever gets eaten in Christmas (by people other than me, because I don’t eat it even in Christmas). I don’t even know if ham is sold here any other time of the year than around Christmas. Maybe not, except thinly sliced for sandwiches?Sunday was the first day of fall, and right on time the weather turned cool-ish. We celebrated with ham and beans with cornbread. Yum.
