What do you get out of nudity?

I would definitely enjoy walking naked with you and taking a shower outside would be fun too. Your husband doesn't realize what he is missing. The freedom to walk or run while nude is exhilarating.
 
We have been in the Nudist / Naturist lifestyle for 4 years. Got engaged naked and married naked. We were curious and took the plunge and now it is a way of life for us.

We have been to a few resort / farms and love it. For us there is a huge sense of freedom which is hard to articulate but we find it is a great way to bring people from all walks of life to the same level. We have met university professors, plumbers, chefs etc. and in all cases when we are all naked we are all on the same level.

I agree that seeing someone in underwear is more erotic than seeing them naked and most places we go to ask you to undress in your room.

In terms of the sexual aspect although we do not associate sex with nudity when we are there we do seem to have a lot more sex when we are there. Either in our own room or on a quiet morning somewhere on the farm where we cant be seen.

The most common question friends ask is how you prevent unwanted erections. So far we have yet to see anyone with an erection on our trips.
 
For me it can go either way. I've been outside and felt the most myself just being naked in nature. I've also been outdoors taking a risk of being seen by a stranger, or being photographed, and that is extremely hot to me. Just my two cents!

I love being nude outdoors ever since I was younger. I used to sneak out late at night and wonder the woods behind my house while leaving my clothes in my back yard. As an adult I love skinny dipping and tanning nude outside no matter the time of day. I have yet to go to a fully nude beach. But I have been to some that allow topless women. I find being nude outdoors both freeing and extremely arousing
 
Went to a spa recently with my family.

My partner was reluctant at first to go into the nude area, but accepted when they saw how nonchalant I was about it (even though I had never done it before, either!).

Personally, I find it freeing to be naked around other people. That might be the biggest part - Yeah, this is my body, this is your body, everything is hanging free and nobody has to feel bad. Everyone can look as much or as little as they want, as long as they are not staring creepily.
Plus of course the basic physical sensation of existing as your animal self, no filter between you and the elements. Not a big fan of clothes, in general.

It's not NOT sexual, I confess, though perhaps in a somewhat subtle way. That "hyper awareness" other people mentioned.

With your story, I must say the other folks sound a bit dull - if I was working with someone who likes to take off their clothes, you bet I would join them right away. At least with the confidence and, I wanna say, maturity I have now.
Though with male workers, especially male foreigners, I can see why they wouldn't take any risks. The lynching scenario ("we got to protect our white women!!") practically writes itself.

It's interesting to see (no judgment) that there are in fact still a couple of people in the "wrapped gift" school of nudity - nudity has to be special and reserved for particular moments, only hinted at it teasing ways until the big reveal.

Might have a similar root as lingerie fetishes and all that - personally, I have never seen the appeal, I'm more of the "less clothes, faster = better" category, lol

Then again, I want to experiment with "fully clothed" scenarios in my writing, as that is a silly sort of tension I'd like to explore. "Oh no, we are TOTALLY not having sex, can't you see we still got our clothes on" :p

But honestly, that's not how it is with us. ..As I said, I see her nude almost every day - either as she leaves the shower, while changing into her sleep shorts & tee, or both. And it's always a turn-on for me.

It's just NOT all day long. ..I think that would eventually erode the excitement for me.
 
Okay folks, big story here, regarding "what do you get out of nudity?"

As I said in my earlier post, I've been a closet nudist all my life. That other post was written before a monumental (and tragic) event changed my fortunes regarding this subject.

Anyhow, being a closet nudist, whenever the opportunity to strip off arose, I got rid of all that fabric. However, I never thought I'd be able to do anything but run around the house naked. My wife wasn't interested in it, was always afraid someone was going to see. Recently (and I'm not looking for sympathy here, necessarily), she passed away from cancer. It's been a really fucking emotinally traumatic week for me.

Anyhow, while the shitty week finally came to an end - not the way we'd hoped, but the way such things very often do, unfortunately - my sister-in-law offered to drive me home. We ended up in a hospital about sixty miles from home, because all local beds were filled with Covid patients.

Before we got on the road, I revealed that I was writing erotica. I'd written a story whose idea had come to me a couple weeks earlier, inspired by what was happening and the possible (at that time) outcome. This story should hopefully post out on the main site soon. She liked the story and said she was interested in reading some of my others, so I sent her the link to my story page.

As we got on the road, I thought it necessary to explain some of the stories. I'd been thinking about contacting the local nudist resort (only one in the state, and only 45 minutes away) when it looked like the end was inevitable, but my sister-in-law's encouragement was what I'd really needed.

When I got home, I checked the website for the resort and send them an email asking what their policy was regarding unaccompanied males. I waited all night, but in the morning, when there was no response, I couldn't wait and called. Lo and behold, there was no restriction on single males, as long as they obeyed all the resort's rules.

So, I got my ass there soon as I could. I waited at the gate to be let in, nervous and excited, then was waited on by an older lady in what was obviously some kind of throw-on thing for meeting new people. We got the paperwork taken care of and the day fee paid, then she told me she'd guide me to the parking area then give me a tour of the place.

When I got out of the car, she said I could get rid of my shirt, so I threw it in the car. I almost shucked the shorts, too, but she hadn't said anything about those. It's not a big place, the tour took no more than 10 minutes. She parked the cart at the main meeting building and announced that was the end of the tour, have a good time.

I got out of the cart and started toward the car to get naked. Two steps later, I stopped, thinking, "Why the hell am I still wearing pants?" Next thing, the shorts were around my feet and I was stepping out of them. For a few seconds I just stood there, the wind on parts of me that hadn't felt it before. This felt right. This is what I'd been waiting for all these years.

I spent the afternoon getting to know people and learned that they're some of the most open, least judgmental people you'll ever meet. The media typically portrays nudists as young, with perfect bodies and angelic faces. The reality is much different. You see every body type, fat, thin, scars, etcetera. The resort near me is a family resort, so the possibility of kids being in attendance was there, so the other stereotype of nudists, that they're always out for the next lay - is also false.

The majority of people were older than me. The younger folks were around my age, give or take (50s, pushing 60). Nevertheless, as the afternoon went on, I met some of these people and was instantly accepted. There was none of the suspicion and caution you get when you're introduced in the clothed world. It's like nakedness is the great equalizer.

After that one afternoon, I had a literal smile on my face all the way home. Plus, I couldn't keep my mind off what I'd just experienced. So, this morning at 9 AM, I was on the road again. I spent ten hours there today, and even joined for the remainder of their season (Midwest - nudity isn't a real good idea much past early October). I plan to get there as often as I can in the next few weeks, because it has helped me deal with with the tragedy that's just happened to me.

Nudity. It's something I've craved for so long. At least now I'm finally getting it. It feels right to me. It's what I was meant for...

You know how erections are a fear for most men coming to these places? As has been mentioned, it's not a sexual environment. Think of any clothed campground at your local state or county park. Take all those people and their varied shapes and sizes. Remove their clothing. That's exactly the type of person who inhabits these places.

Anyhow, I said that to emphasize that it certainly isn't a sexual environment, aside from the nude bodies everywhere.

I find that I get an erection as I am getting undressed and then that is the end of them for the duration of my stay.

That seems to be what keeps most of my friends from even trying it but found it to be almost a non event.
 
As long as you don't make a big deal of it, nobody's going to think anything of it. And you're right, it goes away quickly.
 
If I'm home alone, I'm often without clothes. It feels right, it's a little tantalising knowing that I've had neighbours standing and watching (especially when I've gotten nice and turned on for them), but mainly it's about that freedom.
