Our fuschia have been amazing this year. I will have to get some pics up.

Mine are quite lovely, as well. My husband always tried wintering over each year's crop of fuchsias with variable success. There's a local store that does a Fuchsia Saturday early in the spring each year. When you buy fuschia starts, they give you the potting soil to plant them in. They used to do all the planting but now just send you home with the dirt. My hanging baskets are 16" so I plant 4 starts in each basket. The dirt has fertilizer in it.

Because the watering system for the hanging plants isn't working right now, I need to remember to water them by hand.

My family has been really bad through everything. I don't think they took it well considering how they worry soooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch! Every phone call has now turned into "there you are. We haven't talked to you in a while (maybe 24 hrs or 2 days MAX). We would love to have you over. Why don't you ever want to come over?" Me "I don't want your worry to rub off" them "you should worry about some stuff, like FIL IN BLANK HERE" me "No, I don't have to worry about this and this is why I don't want to come around. You don't know how to not act weird" I prolly sound mean but I can't seem to help it. Twisted knots when I'm around them.

It isn't. I can get Daisy to eat anything. Horses-n-goats will eat all manner of old tired vegibbles. I had some apples left in the barn back in '22-'23. They froze and got mushy. Calypso and Tell ate the whole bag in one sitting, happily. Wat didn't have to cut anything.

And they loved you for giving them apples!

They aren't mean, just medaling. I actually lucked out with the parents. They are awesome. I told them from the get go 3 years ago that this was not something I was going to talk to them about. They had to help me when he stole the 45k because I was supposed to be used it to get the roof fixed (I only borrowed what insurance didn't pay for).

I upset my mom last night She called and we started off with a nice conversation and all of a sudden she asked if I finally got my child support. Like auto pilot I started explaining and then caught myself and yelled (I lost my temper ) No, I told you that I will not discuss this anymore! It's over divorce is final, and everything is taken care of. That's when she started in on me never coming over, doesn't understand why I don't talk to them about it, don't like them anymore ect ect. Still upset I said, it's been 48 hours since we talked, Don't like coming over because this is where the conversation turns. Not sure why I don't want to talk about it with them but I don't. She said "I see I've made you mad now so I'm going lo let you go." So I said "Ok mom, love....*cliick* she hung up on me. I felt so mean. I've made myself clear to them about this 3 years ago though and every 48 hrs to a week since.

Sorry. Didn't mean to rant...

The autumn weather is coming. Woke up to 45 temperatures but sunny today into mid seventies. The house temperature got low enough that almost kicked on the furnace.

By the weekend we might get lucky and see a high of 70.

It's supposed to get into the 80s today and the 90s tomorrow. That's just TOO hot for us! It was in the 70s yesterday, which is just about perfect!

I think some of those machines are fiddly. My brother had a similar experience years ago when he first started w/ pasta. Not sure what he uses today. Don't think he does much pasta anymore. Half his household are gluten-free and Low FODMAP now.

I can personally attest - vinegar does all. Sounds like I was lucky no skin damage was done. She was well meaning but not well informed.

So, yesterday was very, very wet on the hill. Fortunately it was warm so no need to bundle up just get the rainwear on. For their first full day picking up the dogs did well and didn’t run out of steam by the end …. nor did I to my surprise. Third drive of the day I was with the top gun for anything dropped in the water but it was largely a case of working the dogs down into the valley bottom to find birds as in the picture. It’s hard work but they are fit and can run up and down the face without difficulty.
