Yes and no. The surgery took away the pain that had been constant and nearly left me in tears daily. But it also greatly reduced mobility and made it to where I kind of had to learn to walk again and many things are more challenging now (like stairs). Definitely worth it but it wasn't something that was going to be able to go back to 100% like it had been

sorry for the mobility issues - those are challenging
but very happy the pain sounds resolved
if given a choice i'll take no pain over more mobility pretty much every time

You bring up some very good points. What makes a business recognizable? Sometimes a persona is so strong that the band is forever tied to that musician and when that time is over it becomes clear to some owners there's no going forward. Others assume there is no way forward and find out there is! It's very much a case by case basis. One genius model I've seen recently is Marshmallow. Since nobody knows who they are, they could easily keep that show going as long as there's interest. For all we know the actual creator may have never stepped on the stage or there may be several individuals who rotate. Kiss and Ghost have done similar business models that allow for easy cast member changes.

Whoa I just had a wild thought reading this. It's the Princess Bride. If you have seen the movie, it's the dred pirate Roberts story. If you haven't seen it, you need to. It's a classic and one of the best and funniest movies ever.

Made one last trip to NYC to finish cleaning out my moms place. The end of an era.

My sisters were amazing and when I got there all I needed to do was move so me heavy furniture. They’d boxed everything up. Bubble wrapped all the big paintings and pics.

Pretty easy move.

They are but I totally agree with you - the no pain is worth it. I'm a pretty big, tough guy in general and every day I woke up in pain and it lasted all day til I drugged myself enough to sleep again and felt like crying from the pain multiple times a day. This is WAY better

I have a pot that I keep behind my desk in my classroom and all day long that describes my coffee (except it's half caffeine).

's ok - mine's decaf

and i've started to drink mine w/ a liquid protein supplement that acts as a sweetener (i'm trad a black coffee gal). but protein challenged so this way each cup has about 5-10 grams protein - which is a win for me.

but that ^^^ likely puts me in the Coffee Defiler Club with the purists and Caffeine Clique

acquired more of a UK Style Tea taste after a year in Scotland
but have been caffeine free for @ 15 years

so now mostly herbal tea and decaf coffee with the previously mentioned liquid protein
