The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Have fun on your 10...Good Morning, sunshine!!

Watch out for speed bumps. One got me walking fast the other day and it was hilariously entertaining for everyone in the bar..

The city has installed speed control humps in a lot of roads, and it does seem to help. They have also added signage, too. I was riding Sunday and I do tend to go fast to get away from cars and damned near raced over one of them. Fortunately, very good brakes and good reactions prevented it, but it did amuse me. Unlike the asshole who changed lanes on top of me, but I indicated to him that he's number one in my book.

I don't have a number one in my book. I use that finger for other things. Speed bumps I can handle while driving, just not when walking apparently. The sad part is I don't drink, but I'm sure a lot of people thought I was getting in my car drunk that day. I was just overloaded on hot wings and tea

Good morning Wat, IS and OM. I am sorry I missed Lilli but it was good to read her posts.

What a cool morning in the 50s. Feels like fall for most of the week.

Thanks to all about my having a new grandchild in my family. They are a delight.
I don't have a cool morning. It's already feeling like 90s here and sun hasn't even come up.

I need to move north

Oh and Good Morning B2! https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXcu9UfHstRjUGBUGe9Cl6l3xpoHsR_RhVdWRw-nxmqj1ivu9QH0hDP7ATZ6KP-GElidapmrOoCk0En20yX9f3d7u7-fhumYtan9gFH04B_0DzM4kkBA9GV0vrW2oC_dsZfIbPJXXO1NDLossmyPnajxrN4W?key=jY9Az0Ixp_0zToql93IJFw or should I say Grandpa

That reminds me, it is time to get the AC checked. Humidity is back after a two days of low humidity, relatively speaking.

If you like 4 seasons go North. Lilli said the PNW had 4 seasons in moderation. Sounds nice.

I have a neighbor who has a heat pump. I need to ask him how it’s going. It might help me with my heating and cooling bills.
Depending on where you live a heat pump will help. They are efficient heating if it is not too cold. Below a certain temperature they rely on resistance heaters (like a stove top) and are not that efficient or cost effective.

I am old enough to remember my childhood when we did not have AC. In the middle of the day you found shade and did nothing. Mostly active in the morning or evening.
It wasn't quite as hot in those days. Since I've lived down here, we went from a solid 3 months of winter with freezing nights up to 3 days to what we have now. one month of bipolar temps and usually not getting below 40 on our coldest night

I have to get my air compressor out and blow the pipes to keep it from filling with water every three months. It is about time for that
The AC guy down here told me to pour a little vinegar down the pipes once every other week and that would keep them clear. I do and they are. They also have tablets you can put in the tray that do the same thing, preventing clogging.

Tried it. Doesn't work. My POS was here when they installed it and allowed them to lay the pipe in and awkward place that lays flat for 13 or 14 ft, then comes up at a 90 degree angle with a pour spout that stands a little less than a foot high.

Just deal with it as a regular maintenance thing that you have to do. It’s easy enough. You have the right tools for the job. Good on you!!!

yeah bad idea; but don't forget that I take my coffee black and strong
I like it that way too.

My dad: β€œwhy ruin a perfectly good cup of coffe with all that milk and sugar you’re putting in.”

Plus I stopped milk when I went cold turkey once with no sugar. I never went back. (I eat sugar now tho) πŸ™
