The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Here’s a thought…

In light of the recent interlopers over the last few weeks. Maybe we should get a sticky at the top of thread? Is there a way to ask or apply for one? That way Rule #1 is at the top every time you enter.

Just a thought…

After a months delay, mostly due to Debby, the concrete man dropped his load and the crew is out putting in the rock this a.m.! Tore down the old play sets and chopped most of it to haul off to the landfill & recycle center.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Everyone have fun…and now…your Morning Z

I had to go to Vegas for a funeral during covid. I don't like crowds of people so it was the perfect time for me to go. So empty! It was really cool to see all the buildings. A friend of my mom's dad (if that makes sense) ran a hotel there way back in the day and embezzled so much money they wrote a book on their family. I have it somewhere but never read it.

Never knew you were a descendant of the mafioso. 😘 Let me know the title, if you don’t mind. I’m really into Vegas history.

This is the book. Wasn't my family. Very long term family friends. Grew up with there grandkids and lived in three different states with their kid and her family. My parents were friends with their kid's family and I heard all about the stories of how the bust went down when I was little. They were telling us about it over dinner. LOL

I have always wondered how long it takes for those with the very large tattoos to get completed. Has to be multiple visits
Yes, my upper sleeves took a number of visits.

One to do the outline. The. To do rough shading. Then one or two more to get everything right.

Funny aside… I remember when the tattoo artist wanted me to get the date right and I remember saying 2009. (it was scrunched and looked that way in my friends drawing). Took off the bandage the next morning, and was like “ holy shit, my dad died in 2007!” 😧

And the next visit, he changed the nine into a seven pretty artistically… (white spot is, actually skin)

That is awesome!

Great to have those projects finally take shape and get done.
