it came in handy in the army, and when I weigh my salad dish at lunchtime at the cafeteria at work!

Very important skill - those "pay by the ounce" salad bars will bleed you dry every time!

My son passed his CPA exams first time out. Has a masters in accountancy. Made partner in '21 or '22 - youngest in corporate history. He made every promotion the first year he was eligible. They are fast-traking him to Full Equity Partner.

Engineering is no joke!

And it could also be a very rewarding financially and personally! Whenever I work with people thinking about career steps, I tell them engineering and actuarial (and underwriting) are solid career choices.
