Feeling crap. I had to say goodbye to one of my boys today. Doggy dementia so made the difficult decision. Even harder when he was one of my best in over 40 years.

@Greylag your dogs are loved by people they have never even met or smelled. We hold them in our hearts and are saddened when they leave us, too. Those pets and working animals that have humans who care enough about them to know when it's time to be merciful? Those are some lucky animals!! Thank you for being a responsible human and making the humane choice for your animal.

Update: no coyotes sighted in Innsmouth-on-the-Lake, but my niece hit a fawn on the way back from school today. She brought him back with her and asked if we could eat him.

Cute little guy, but it would be a shame to let him rot. He's in the stew-pot now.
