Harris for President

Putting aside the fact that Congress, not the White House appropriated the funding, not sure how many voters will notice the impact of $394 million spread across 16 states. The federal budget is > $6 trillion this FY.
Deflection effort doesn't make this less than a good thing for bridge builders and shoring up our aging infrastructure. It was Biden's plank and it was enacted as a joint cause. So yeah, Congress funded it; that's their job since the President doesn't finance those things under his authority.

Common sense. Give credit were it is due—a joint effort.

BTW, Congress could have funded the border bill and put devices into place to reduce drug smuggling, but didn't. Why? I suppose it was due to Trump telling Johnson not to fund the border since it was his main running plank at the time. Trump wasn't interested in bridge building, [irony here intended], so he let that one get through.

Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday condemned some of the demonstrators who protested Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Wednesday address to Congress for “despicable acts” and “dangerous hate-fueled rhetoric.”

“I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews. Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation,” Harris said in a statement on Thursday.

exactly... we can support Palestinians against the brutality of both hamas AND netanyahu and not be pro-hamas.

She's going to fail. The Democrats have something else up their sleeve.
Like ... a free and fair election with a woman at the Democratic Party's helm. That's something else the Republican party can't match with a convicted felon and a guy who calls women without children 'cat women with no stake in democracy' and who calls his leader Hitler at their helm.

Good luck with that in November.

a previously scheduled debate between President Biden and Current Felon Trump was supposed to happen Sept. 10th but trump, being trump, is being shy

  • Harris said she and Trump had both previously agreed to a faceoff on Sept. 10.
  • Trump signaled earlier this week that he did not "like the idea" of participating in a debate hosted by ABC.
"I think that voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage, and so I'm ready," Harris told reporters on an airport tarmac outside Washington. "Let's go."

"Now it appears he's backpedaling," Harris said of Trump on Thursday afternoon. "But I'm ready."

The vice president’s husband, Doug Emhoff, is Jewish.

Trump was railing against Harris for not attending Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress on Wednesday afternoon. (The presumptive Democratic nominee instead stuck with a pre-planned campaign event in Indianapolis, but she’s been scheduled to meet with Netanyahu on Thursday).

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris sharply pressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday about the humanitarian situation in Gaza in "frank" talks that were watched for signs of how she might shift American policy about Israel if she becomes president.

"Israel has a right to defend itself. And how it does so matters," Harris told reporters after the meeting. She said she raised her serious concerns about the scale of human suffering in Gaza.

"I made clear my serious concern about the dire humanitarian situation there," she said. "I will not be silent."

Harris' remarks, which were sharp and serious in tone, reflected what could be a shift from President Joe Biden in how she deals with Netanyahu.

Trump leads 50%-43%, no Harris bump

ByPaul Bedard

July 25, 2024 10:25 am

So much for the expected polling bump for Vice President Kamala Harris.

In three surveys since she became the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, Harris has failed to overtake former President Donald Trump as his campaign feared would happen.

Instead, the race remains where it has been for months, with Trump leading Harris both in new national head-to-head and battleground state surveys.

Just out is the latest Rasmussen Reports poll shared with Secrets and taken over the past three nights. It shows Trump leading Harris with likely voters 50%-43%, well outside the margin of error.

6 Dems Help Pass House Resolution Condemning VP Harris As ‘Border Czar’

By Daniel Chaitin

Jul 25, 2024 DailyWire.com

The GOP-led House passed a resolution in bipartisan fashion on Thursday to condemn Vice President Kamala Harris as “border czar” and the Biden administration for its inability to curb illegal immigration.

Six Democrats joined with 214 Republicans in voting for the measure. Another 196 Democrats voted against it. Sixteen members, including six Republicans and 10 Democrats, did not cast a vote. The Democrats who broke ranks were Reps. Yadira Caraveo (D-CO), Henry Cuellar (D-TX), Don Davis (D-NC), Jared Golden (D-ME), Mary Peltola (D-AK), and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA).

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the chairwoman of the House GOP Conference, introduced a resolution on Tuesday after President Joe Biden ended his re-election bid and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor. Harris has since gathered the support of enough delegates to win the Democratic Party’s nomination.

The resolution “strongly condemns the Biden Administration and its Border Czar, Kamala Harris’s, failure to secure the United States border.” It further “affirms that the American people deserve elected officials who understand the gravity of the crisis at the border and who will execute the policies to fix the border crisis.” The resolution also “clearly and firmly states that the continuation of the Biden, Harris border policies would be disastrous for both the United States and the American people.”

The Democrat rehabilitation of this dummy is failing.
I guess they forgot about trump scuttling the bipartisan border bill, spearheaded by a Repub, that would have done much to secure the border.

I laugh but I’m sick and tired of this man. On top of the many things to despise about his character - he’s also always been anti-Semitic. 😡

I love the flailing, and I love that they inadvertently provide positive things about Harris without even realizing it. For instance, this excerpt doesn't show that Harris supports "defund the police" in any real sense, but instead understands that police budgets need to be reevaluated. And she clearly points out that the neighborhoods with cops aren't white affluent neighborhoods.

Seriously...keep at it, dipshits. You're winning the race for us.
