I took some "management proficiency" "test" on the online job board. Their idea. It was all questions about retailing. I don't retail. Haven't since high school. WTF? My score is "completed." We have no idea what that means. All my other scores are "proficient" because i'm a fucking perfectionist.

I would get completed too... I manage me... most people are too much for me to deal with....

Cats can be weird like that. I think it's a predator thing. They can hunker down and survive without doing much of anything. That may have more to do with why I heard as little from her as I did.

Hope everyone is well.

Long typical day at work. BS, some laughs, lotsa of rolling of eyes, hypocrisy, bearacracy, red tape, governance, meetings, etc.

We have a nurse practitioner at work. So I saw her abt my foot - it just doesn’t feel much better. She suggested an xray to make sure there was no internal infection or foreign bodies inside. …So left a little early and went to local urgent care. All good. Just takes longer for foot wounds to heal.

After work, went to the farm and picked up branches and cleaned up. Filled up the wood stand by the road.

And got home just in time for the thunderstorm to hit. (Did get a quick jump in the pool before.)

I’ll check on your guys day in a minute.

Last meeting of the day where I get told that the dumbest laziest know it all idiot gets my project that I have been busting my ass to get.... i have the mist experience, but she is going to lead that team...really..... but I can "pick" from the other projects the one or two I am most interested in.

Good for you!!! I sent out 2 job search-related emails this morning at oh six hundred. I could have done it/them at oh Dark Thirty, but that's just showing off.


I took a look at the hole I made in the wall in my misguided kitten search. It will be easy to fix and I already have a spare sheet of drywall here at the house. I have screws. I can get mud and tape later.

That’s good that the wall will be easy to fix. Hope you were able to knock it out.

And good luck on job search. I think your dilligence will pay off.

I've had two cats or they had me...cats select "the help" as maintenance staff.
But I'm looking for one or two more and after 20 years of not having pets it will be tough. Mrs Rj needs them as 'comfort' cats. My previous baby's lived a long time, but I had a hard time with grieving for them...
Edit: we will go to a no-kill rescue shelter for them.

I love that. That’s where we got our current cat.

They are pretty good companions - at least most of them. And yeah…. You will def be the waitstaff. And the cleaning crew. And the shopping humans. And the clerical staff. And cat box litter cleaners and changers….

(Wonderer goes off for hours thinking abt all the stuff he does for his bad cat….)

So a great day today. Took my grandson clay shooting and he did well on a lovely warm sunny afternoon. Some more clothes have arrived from my son and a pack of his meds from his mum. So we are back on track. He even managed to get some of @Lilianna23 bread mixed and we have just taken it out of the oven….it smells divine. I just wish she was on here to read this !
