The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I have gotten some great stuff from curb. I got a beautiful mcm dresser with dust covers and everything. Cleaned it up and gave to my sister because she needed a dresser. Nothing in my house except sofa washer and dryer and mattresses cost more than 50$....and most of it cost less than 20$

Little Miss Frugal. I like it. I used to get house plants which were tossed. We did a fair amount of work in a decent neighborhood in the city. There were lots of alleys and people just put unwanted stuff out back. You never knew what you might find. I have an alley here and put stuff out. There's the church across the alley and I donate good stuff to it. They help a lot of people.

Yeah. They live for the atta boy.....it is generational. You make me talk to long then you might not like what I say...for instance when I said yesterday that the docs need to get on board that I am the auditor of a process and I determine the fix needed and that they are responsible for fixing the problem not fixing my process to skew the numbers. I am not popular
You are with us!

Me either. I can be blunt.

Like a Louisville slugger . . . .

My former job (before last) was big on meetings. I think it gave folks something to do during Covid. It also seems to be a government thing, too - the illusion of productivity. My work has always been very results driven task orientation, so my ability to tolerate one fucking meeting after another one is limited on a good day.

The only thing I miss from that job is the paycheck, yet I seem to do fine without it. Go figure.
No more stress?

Best place to get plants is cemetary.... tell the grounds keeper that you will help clean around a few gravestones and you get heirloom plants by separating stuff that needs to be. Person in grave keeps half I keep half. Win win..... is that sick??

I guess I am old school. It seems to me that a lot of these meetings could be condensed in to fewer as we talk about the same thing to the same people at 4 meetings.
For my staff of project engineers , I had them up date their projects in a project software that I could see and integrate into a master plan. No meetings unless e needed to brainstorm a problem.

Mmmm Maybe !!!!

C'mon, that was funny.

So I was riding down the road with three of my lesbian buddies Back When, riding shotgun. The women in the back seat were chattering along happily, so I said to J (who was driving), this reminds me of I Love Lucy with Lucy and Ethel in the back and Ricky and Fred up front, and byt the way, you're Ricky. We laughed about that all the way home.

Not at all. Every fall we need to clean up at the grave site or grounds keepers throw it in the trash. I would rather have someone use it.

We've been getting cherries for about a month from CA. Ours are coming in now. I like them better. They're sweeter. 😋
When I was deployed in support of Bosnia I’d frequently walk from the airfield to our barracks instead of taking the bus. It took you through this little village that had cherry trees lining the sidewalk for maybe 5 or 6 blocks. I’d stop and grab a couple of cherry’s from each tree and just nibble on the way. The villagers didn’t mind and always greeted me with smiles.
