Haha yes I do! I posted earlier today.

I underwent counselling because I often cried myself to sleep in fetal position, when they asked why I said it was because of the mean hose-wielding coffee lady!

Just kidding, I had a lot of stuff on my plate around the house, and work, and family gatherings etc, the month flew by. Added to that, jumping back into this thread is like trying to jump onto a moving bullet train!

She's moved on to knives, Sin. Just saying!

My mom has one of those. She gave it to my sister. Her son has it now. It's beautiful!

Frankly? I'm glad I don't have it. Stuff like that comes with some kind of familial obligation to keep it and pass it down because it belongs to Great Aunt Livinia or whomthefuckever. Great granddad's pocket watch is one thing. Great granny's sewing machine is big and takes of floor space and is one more damned thing to dust. I can't sew, so why I need one???


I do have my great great grandfather's dresser. Difference is, I use it daily. My wallet is sitting on it along with the rest of my pocket goblins as I type this.

It was hot here today but I was stuck in a ac office. I really hate ac. Not a fan (see what I did there??)

I seriously, don’t like air conditioning. I don’t wanna be brutally hot and sweaty either, but I don’t mind it. I also don’t mind humidity. I know I’m a wacko.

It reminds me of being a kid on summer vacation. As I get older, I like it less than less, but I still don’t mind it and I still enjoy having my car or truck windows open rather than putting on AC.

Had a nice swim w miss conduct when I got home. Just chilled and sat poolside till the sun went down and listened to good music.

Fun night.

My daughter is still testing positive and since I’m seeing my mom Sunday more time apart. I’m needing to see my kid…

Work week is done. Now time to work at home. Deck project starts today. Moving planters and removing the old decking, and then building steps and going to make a flagstone type patio in its place. Less rot over time and we didn’t use it much in the summer anyway due to it’s a southern facing deck as it gets quite hot out there.

Did I hear it’s hot up yonder? Welcome to the suck! No, I feel for you as you’re not used to it. It was dry and in the 80’s yesterday. Not bad for Dixie…

OMG, C! I'm so glad the fire was put out. Wildfires are so scary now! What do you do with your animals if you have to evacuate?

We used to rarely get fires like that in western WA, but they've been increasing in frequency last few years. A few years ago, we had a bad one in our area; the evacuation zone was less than 0.5 miles from our house. I packed up go bags for the two of us, put the dog's crate in the truck, packed up food and water so we could leave at a moment's notice. We slept in shifts so we could leave quickly. It was probably one of the most frightening times I've ever had.
