Update on the Spatulas. (Thanks for asking, I though no one cared)

Well the vintage ones cleared customs and should be delivered tomorrow. I have a pre Culinary Control Act bottle of Joy I’ll soak the flippers in at full strength, then a 63/37% mixture of Dawn/RC Cola for a couple of days.

I found a guy who can refinish the stocks in natural oak but, I also received a email from the guy who found the vintage spatulas and he has a couple spatulas with folding stocks that were issued to tank or paratrooper cooks.

If we let your spatulas and my old rifles mate, what in Hell would they spawn???

One of the old school ones with lovely wooden furniture. My grandfather had his mother's old treadle machine that had been electrified. No idea whatever became of it.

They are nasty. We aren’t too bad here unless you go down on the Merse. The Highlands and Islands can be awful in summer. It’s the bit the tourist brochures don’t tell you. “Beautiful Scotland where the midges will feed on you like wee pirhanas!”

Thank you, SO much, OM! The procedure was a success today! I got him there on time. They let me help him get ready and then settled in the procedure room. I'm really an extra pair of hands for them.

Afterwards, I took him out to eat. I'm supposed to be napping now. My boat guy will be here in a few hours to launch the boat.

Happy Tuesday!!! I should be able to pick up the WRA today. I also have a couple of calls to make, and a video interview to complete. As many hoops as this one outfit is wanting jumper through, they had best come up with something, damn them.

Work day started at 04, but I woke up early. . Work…The One Who Must Be Obeyed sort of demands I keep doing it for a few more years. If I had my druthers I’d retire early and revert back to my beach bum existence I left behind 35 yrs ago to join the human race.

About 6 years ago my LW and I visited Scotland in November but heard about tourists and the midges. We were happy to have toured this beautiful country in the fall.
