Thank you for your help and concern Everybody. It sounds like a number of you here have had a run in or two like this yourselves or your loved ones have. I appreciate the helpful advice.

Had a similar thing... first they started on my manager, then me (she went on long term sick). It was the little things, undermining what we did, even though she was brilliant at her job. I was still new-ish, but she had been loyal to me, so i was to her and they didn't like that. Eventually they tried to declare us 'unfit'... alas, for them, she sued their arse!
I was made redundant, the whole team was, they reorganised and claimed the roles were different.

Yes, HR were useless (turned out the person doing the harassing was shagging someone in HR!), but i made a formal complaint before i left, just so there was something on file. I walked away, went to a better job.

Some people go power crazy, that was what happened there. he believed he was amazing, we didn't think so and he took offence.

Hope it all works out for you... it may be digging your own grave, to some extent, but if you bury the fucker too!

Yes I need to do better with this. I could have had a much longer list by now.

Keep a diary too, and write in that to help prompt you with dates and times.

A friend went through similar and took it to HR. They did an investigation and because of her diary, the other person was caught lying too. And their story became less reliable.
