The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Gotta love desert weather. Last Jul, the daily high from Jun 30 - Jul 31 was never below 110* there were 6 or 7 days of 118* & 119*. I'd rather it be 115* over 75*. Anything below that & I'm cold. Whining like a school girl about how cold it is.
70s weather is perfect for us! Anything over 80° sends us to cooling places!

Quick catch up...
Had a solid 8 hours sleep but woke with a headache (not migraine status - yet). Could be payment for staving off the migraine. 🤷‍♀️ Time will tell, but def annoying.

😊

😢😡

Same - until o'dark thirty

Same!

😻

Since my knee replacements I wear medical grade (i.e. Rx) compression stockings every day. Knee high daily and thigh high for all plane rides and any car trips over 2 hrs long.
The OTC socks tend to be 15-20 mmHg. Might be enough to help?? IDK - ask at next check-up if concerned.
(sorry - I have an over-abundance of the "helper gene". :ROFLMAO: )

🫂 Sorry about your DIL. Hope they solve what's causing the pain.
💖Good luck with the littles. Yes, they do best with a schedule, but they also bounce back fast, too. 💖

Sounds like there's a lot of that going around. I have to grab a bite, a shower, run an errand, and then can nap. Gonna get started right after this post. Naps!!!

Over the years my body has settled on 74 F (23.333 C) as the perfect temp. A few degrees in either direction and my body will make it's displeasure known - in the most annoying ways possible.
I hope your headache went away, L2WU! My body likes mid 70s also.

Morning all, a busy day and for whatever reason not in sleep well last night.

Got up really early and went to the local tractor place and got a couple parts that I’ve needed. The lawn and the big tractor are simpatico, both have front right flats.

I’m about to patch the lawn tractor so I can finish mowing the lawn. Company all weekend, my friend from Arizona is out here and one of my buddies who moved to San Diego is here this weekend for a memorial, so had breakfast and a quick catch up with him.

There’s a lot to be done, but I’m feeling surprisingly calm about it all and not overwhelmed.

Happy and safe Saturday all!!

You could not ask for a nicer day. It’s about 70° with almost no humidity. In New Jersey summers get very, very humid!
Sounds like you had a very productive and enjoyable day, W! 🥰🥰

Thank you🥰

They came back around 1030…Momma has a kidney stone…she didn’t pass it?😮. I thought they could break those things up ultra-sonically now? Anyhow…looks like lots of apple juice or beer😝 for her. She was tired and came in a laid down and fell right to sleep. The kid of course is just getting wound up. We were able to entertain her but as soon as mom came in she went into “feed me” mode. So the whole tribe is here and it’s pass the baby as they try and get rest.

Oh the fun! Hope everyone’s having a great start to the weekend.
If the stone is small enough, they might either wait to see if it will dissolve or pass on its own. She was probably exhausted from being in pain.

She may be dehydrated. If she's still nursing, it could contribute. Also, new moms tend to neglect their own care while caring for their baby and family. I used to teach my patients to keep a pitcher of water in the fridge and drink it completely during the day. It's a visual reminder to drink water.

Good night all as it’s almost 11 pm. Unlike Lilli I get my sleep! 😴
Sweet dreams, B2
I hope your headache went away, L2WU! My body likes mid 70s also.
It did! Pleasantly surprised. Usually it just delays them.
Today was 76 F (@ 24.4 C) and only 30% humidity. Very bright - I needed 2 pair of shades!! (That almost brought the migraine back - bless whomever invented sunglasses!!!)
Most of my friends would have wanted a few more degrees of heat.
I was so overheated from just a couple errands in the same strip mall that I had to cool down before I could even think of eating dinner. 😥 🥵
So annoying!

So true about moms.
Good advice about the water!

Afternoon on a lovely day as 74F with clouds coming in now and rain tonight. No storms. I spent the morning with my GF and she was my physical trainer - needed rest afterwards. :ROFLMAO:

The old dog is walked again and I will be leaving to have dinner with friends and games too around 4. I will catch up in the morning.
Lucky boy, B2! 😍🥰

Done drive back an' made it 'thout bein' killt. TDK didn't settle down all that well. Did stop for a 20-minute roadside nap. It was the thing to do.

Tomorrow will probably be a slack kinda day.

Oh, we used the truck and pushed the hit post back to where it looked like it wanted to be and dumped some sacrete in to hold it when it sets. The landlady didn't even have to adjust the camera on it (which looks at the campground across the street.

And the campers who wanted the cat left today and took her. Seems the cat made friends with their dogs.
Glad you and TDK got home OK.

Dead body disposal.

Used to be, cut off the head and hands. DNA tracking messes that up.

Two to a coffin still works.

Bribe a cremator.

Bury the body 10' deep and a dead livestock critter at 5'. Horses or cows are good.

Bore a hole and bury the body vertically. Satellite imagine will see a small hole, not a long one.

Chemicals. Dissolve it.

Put in pigs - 6 or 8. Starve them a day or 2 before feeding the body to them. It'll be eaten in minutes and pig poop in a few hours.

Basically, the fewer people know, the better, else you'll have to add to the list.

:D
This is quite the list, Wat! 😳😳🤯

I got to spend some time with Fred the (girl) (former) barn cat. She's indoors now. She was Hell on birds and small vermin while she lived outside. I know, have seen that she's a killer. She ate hers.

Her sister, Ethyl, lives with me. I don't know about her killing history (she came in while still a young cat) but I do know that she attacked a horse.

Every good cat should have interesting characteristics.
You have interesting cats, Wat! How does TDK get along with Fred and Ethyl?
