Sweet corn is amazing! I live in corn country (I think that makes me a child of the corn), and when it’s in season I am in seventh heaven.

I could literally walk out my back yard and pick corn—if it wasn’t for a grumpy farmer with a shotgun, or stumbling on one of OM’s “buried little treasures”….

Ask the farmer to sell you some of his/her corn!

The Management once made Indian Ice Cream. It was something like Disney, The Magicians Nephew. It just kept growing and she needed bigger and bigger bowls for it all. Never tried it since

I think I need to find a recipe for Indian ice cream! I'd love never-ending ice cream!

I'm so sorry!

I was fortunate to have him, and I think he was fortunate to have me. He taught me a lot about being a human with all of his horsiness. I used to tease him that he had damned fine taste in humans, and that I have good tastes in Pasture Poodles.


We were out in the driveway (which runs through the pasture) working on finishing the winch on the trailer, and he and his buddy the red horse came and watched for nearly an hour - until Snack Time. I have a video of him going through the back of my truck taking inventory. Very personable creatures they.

I do try to remember at least daily to be grateful for what I have. And to be grateful for what I no longer have. And to be grateful for Wat I have never had.
