Did you get your AC fixed, MissK?I am hot....and not in a good way. Ac guy will be here asap. He is reliable and good at what he does but..... it is a busy time
He's lucky he can hang out at yours! My step son has been out two weeks the parts on back order and one day was 100
They have been hanging out here after work
Most here don't have AC. We don't use ours until it gets in the 90s or hotter. We have an automatic attic fan, ceiling fans in all the upstairs rooms, and I have a stand fan by my side of the bed.So I think I’m a weirdo. Actually I’m pretty sure I am… I really don’t like air-conditioning very much.
Hear me out, before hating and throwing things at me. First, I don’t mind the heat. Even humidity is OK by me. Reminds me of being a kid.
Second: ac makes me all cold and clammy feeling.
Yes, I know sometimes you really need it. We took a two week vacation last September in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. It was over 100 every fucking day. Yes, it was nice to be in an air-conditioned place, but I really don’t like the feeling of it long-term. Even in the car we went and put down our windows.
And I know some people MUST have it for medical issues and allergies and stuff. Just stating my opinion.
We are very lucky, that our house has very large eaves. It keeps the house much cooler. Admittedly in the upstairs we have window units, because it becomes unbearable. (It’s a Cape Cod so basically the upstairs is the attic.)
My daughter is on her own so we don’t really go up there and we have an attic exhaust fan that keeps our house cool in the hottest summer days.
That's a lot of teeth to be removed. Good that they were, though. He'll feel better.Update on the old dog who came through the surgery with flying colors. 17 teeth were infected and removed. He still has 25 teeth remaining. He is on meds now.
Doesn't she know what's worn UNDER the kilt??? Or, what's NOT worn???I hanker after a kilt but my wife won’t have it. You aren’t a Scot is her view although our family name does have a tartan. The best I can do is a pair of tartan trews in Black Watch and wear them with my dinner jacket.
I did buy them without permission but she grudgingly accepts they look good![]()
Oh, G! I'm so sorry! Do your photos automatically backup in Google? I hope so! What a huge loss! Perhaps you can find someone who can recover them? Have you tried connecting your phone to your laptop? It might see your phone as another drive, allowing you to retrieve your photos.Down south for my son’s birthday which was great but otherwise a pig of a day. Mobile phone died with everything on it. No access to any of apps so no comms with people who matter to me. Work IT not working either. As I am away from home I don’t have access to my passwords to reload all my apps on the new phone I had to buy.
Then my photos.. best we don’t go there or I will be in tears. Just praying when I can get back into google the automatic backup was enabled.
Aaaaaaagh!
I have skirts but I don't think they will fit Greylag!I know some men on another thread that could hook you up with a skirt or two.![]()
The hotel left your shirts in the closet?? Did you not check out?Home/scrotel, here in OuttaTown. Got here and realized that I left my shirts at the house. Yeah. I seem to have gotten everything else, I think. So, a trip to Wally's and that's sorted out for the week. And I got to the scrotel and discovered that there are 3 shirts on hangers in the closet from last week. I may take some back, then again, I can be a bit of a clothes ho - rse. I'll probably keep 'em.
Work is getting slower and less populated in spite of our efforts to get this thing kicked in its ass. Yeah . . . . I did get some personal issues - well, one - sorted today, and that was to the point of being pressing.
Not sure what's for supper, but my guess is the last piece of casserole.
I'm from a large family, also. Cooking for two is always a challenge, even though my H eats twice as much as I do. During corn season, I buy several ears then we have fresh corn daily.I learned to cook for a large family - and even larger groups.
Cooking for 1 has always been a challenge.
Cooking one single, individual ear of fresh sweet corn?
Felt really weird.
(Not as weird as some of the looks I get for buying just one ear at a time)
But so delicious!!![]()
That might be why she doesn’t want me wearing oneDoesn't she know what's worn UNDER the kilt??? Or, what's NOT worn???![]()
I grow my own corn and freeze itI'm from a large family, also. Cooking for two is always a challenge, even though my H eats twice as much as I do. During corn season, I buy several ears then we have fresh corn daily.
Where has @fullservice65 been? He might kick both of you out!You may be taking over the kitchen and regret this...lol
I am pleased to say having finally been able to access my google account I had automatic backup switched on so found them all ….phrw what a relief.Oh, G! I'm so sorry! Need some cedars? We have starts everywhere! I do see the Fibonacci pattern! How cool is nature?Nerd alert.
This is an American chestnut tree. They’ve been blighted for abt 100 years. So my wife and I joined the the American chestnut foundation.
They gave us chestnuts to plant and our tree hatched! This guy was planted last fall.
My wife is a crazy tree lady. She rescues baby trees from jobs she’s on and brings them to our house or farm to be planted.
Here’s is a red oak. Also abt 6 mos old.
This is a Douglas fir. My wife found it in a customers yard as a tiny sapling in a flower bed abt four years ago. Brought it home and this has tons of new growth. If you’re super nerdy you can see see the Fibonacci pattern in the new growth facing you.
Aww...hi sweet baby....I love horses
