Ever try a handheld misting fan? They're pretty spiffy on hot days IMO.

We didn't used to have AC. Most in our area don't. It's getting to be a necessity in areas where fans were previously sufficient. We had to replace our furnace a few years ago. Our furnace guy suggested adding a heat pump at the same time. We did it. Let's just say, that decision saved my husband's life!
