The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I do believe that he's a boar. He may have balcony bits. That would be my only interest, as otherwise he'd be . . . wait for it . . . boaring.

Home. My house. It was a decent enough day at work. Some of our "people" aren't much on returning phonecalls. So it goes, I reckon. Anyway, the drive home wasn't bad. There were flood warnings in one county I crossed, but I kinda knew better. Nothing happened. Anyway, I'm here.

Thinking that I might catch up with the Friday gang later. It's cloudy, but there could be biking to get there. We'll see. A nap looks good, too.
Boaring! 👏🤣👏

What did you decide to do?

Catch up time... not to be confused with Ketchup Time

Small: check
Rollies: check
Deeper than expected: check
Like to play Ding-Dong-Ditch: check
Took an RN and the Anesthesiologist to start the IV
RN - once and noped out to call anesthisia
Anesthesiologist - a little hunting, then lidocaine (burns!), then 3 or 4 tries before the IV was ready
Honestly, I've had worse. This is pretty much the standard for me.

Geez! Be careful out there, man! Elbows are tricky and can take a long time to heal. Next time go for a clean break, not a bendy joint. (Like we get to choose the location for an accidental injury). 🤗

Midwest weighing in on the bagel debate.
Disclaimer: I'm a picky eater w/ what have been called both "clean" and "weird" food habits.
When you take the chains out of the mix (i.e. Bruegger's Bagels, Panera Bread, etc.)... we have some independents that cook both representatives from both styles.

Overall, I prefer NJ/NY style -
Smaller hole = less lost fixins and cleaner eat
Chewier and fluffier: yes, please
Montreal "cooked in water and honey": too sweet for me
Montreal "most common flavors poppy seed and sesame seed": okay, but my fave are garlic and pumpernickel

(If I could get a "garlic pumpernickel bagel" I'd likely have a foodgasm 🤤 )

But if you want a "rip and dip" option, then Montreal is the way to go IMO.

Missed my window - also, this type of anesthesia doesn't hang on as long. I went from naptime to wide awake in under 20 minutes. So will play this now - thank you!
Feeling OK now, L2WU? 🥰

The day started well. I had a good taxi run. Then mmy GF came over. 🫂 😘

Then I went to have a tooth extracted only to find out there was a mystery mass beneath the tooth! We think in was infection but the tooth had a root canal so I did not feel the pain. Next was oral surgery. Now I am on pain meds, cold packs on my cheek so I do not look like a chipmunk, and soft foods.

Life has its ups and then its downs. Today had both!

Eating ice cream to help feeling sorry for myself.

And no bagels for a while.
I'm so sorry, B2! When will you know? Did your oral surgeon take a culture?🫂🫂

I am crashing in a few, it’s been a bit of a hectic week here.

You guys and gals have a wonderful night, and try to behave! And if you don’t, remember: your phone has a “Record” button, I want the details 😛

Good night gang 😊
As if I would share the deets with you! Actually, I'm just doing my nails tonight. Nothing exciting. 🙄

Get some good sleep! 😴 💤
