pretty planes

Ain't going to win any beauty contest! Plus, though called 'Truk' where do the trailers hitch to??

I think they've been used to tow gliders, but I'm not seeing how.

As far as being "ugly" - nothing could be further from the truth. When designers design an airplane, they try to conform what they're designing into a shape that looks like what "everybody knows" an airplane is supposed to look like. With the Airtruk, the designer designed what was needed to make an airplane and put it all together so it could fly.

Actually, it wasn't me who called it ugly, but ......if you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig!🤔

Well, someone called it fugly and you implied it was and I didn't see the need to do multiple quotes and examine the nuances, etc etc, and you were the one quoted because I wanted to address the trailer hitch / glider towing issue because it was kind of a witty response. Also, I have no idea if you're a pilot or not, but if you were you might be in a better position to appreciate virtually every feature of this aeroplane - its functionality makes it a beautiful machine.

And besides, aren't these forums all about attacking people who don't acknowledge the inner beauty of something that isn't conventionally "beautiful"? Or where did I get that impression?

Anyway, I don't care about the lipstick one way or the other as long as the lipstick stays on the outside of the pig and I can enjoy the ham, bacon, and sausage.

Contra rotating props, may be a visual illusion or perhaps the video speed.
Contra rotating props I understand. Still from what it shows even at low video speed it looks like they are feathered for reverse thrust.
