As a way introduction - I am a bit over 50, not new to Lit (this is just a new account), but new to this thread. Thought I should stop by and say hi after reading for a bit now.

Thank you Lili…yes they pick up life skills with it all too. A number of parents have commented how positive it has been for their kids overall. Used to be the same when I taught martial arts. Helped them as school too…discipline and concentration.

The pool temp was 81* yesterday. High 90s all week in Phx.

That's hot! It cooled 20° for us today from yesterday. In the low 60s with cloud cover. It was lovely!

I name all my cars after my dad. My current vehicle, a midsized SUV, is named Wladimir. My Dad's name was Bill.

I haven't named the truck. Any ideas?

The old cars, all of them, at my house all were named after the barn cat. Her name is Fred. We thought she was a he until we caught her to get her fixed. She's now a housecat and seems to appreciate it. The cars get some descriptor or number or both to distinguish among them.


She wouldn't mind if you used Fred.

Yes, I can see there are a few conversations going. Folks at the bar are talking cars, group at the pool tables is exchanging recipes, and it looks like a third group in forming in the far corner, though it's too dark to tell what exactly is going on back there.

In fairness, I've never owned a Ford. Except for my 2 little red-belly tractors. I knew you had Fords so I kinda assumed that you're a Ford guy, and I get to let you be/do you today.
