It was one of the things we explored when we visited Canada last year. The history of native peoples is something that fascinates me wherever we are in the world. like to pick up books, particularly about folklore. I have some for N America and New Zealand.

I read a wonderful novel on the Maori a few years ago. I love novels that go back and explore the history of people's and places. One of the reasons I really like James Michener.

Yes I am much the same sometimes. My view is certain Scots should come with sub titles!.strong Glaswegian accents are hardest but the soft, island ones are wonderful. Then there is there language and words for things….dreich, sook, etc.

I decided on having another bit of the tuna casserole. It really is pretty good if I do say so myself.


Up, drinking cuppa #1, and posting with You Lot. Today is pack-it-up-to-go-home day. It turned cooler yesterday and it threatening to be that way for the next week or so. It's too early in May to be 90 just yet. At the end of the month, maybe. If I had a washer/dryer here, I'd do these clothes here so's I wouldn't have to schlep 'em.
