On the side of the hill the gales batter us from time to time and have been relentless this winter but nothing like the weather extremes you guys get over the water. It’s odd but I can’t eat egg white on its own. Whisk it for omelette or scrambled and I am fine but on its own I gag. Have done since a child!

I can't see the reason for having whites without the yolks! They're so good!

I’m in the same boat with the dry cough! I have maybe gotten 1-2 hours of sleep since Mon.

No antihistamines for you! They'll dry you out. Lots of fluids. Try a neti pot or just sniff some warm salt water into your nose (carefully!).

I've never had any luck taking moon pictures or other astronomical events, either. Must be a lot of things that I don't know. I did get a kick out of the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction back in December of 2020, however. I was working Out West and if I got home around dark (which was tough to do), I could stand in the southwest part of the pasture and watch it for awhile. Hard to believe that one was 500 million and the other was a billion miles away.


Yesterday was easy enough. It's going to be hot today - 90. Yeah. We still have labor issues. The big boss may be coming. He ain't gonna be happy. Management needs to step up and dedicate a project manager to be here and only here five days a week until this thing is close to done. At this stage, that's whose job it is. But, all in all, it could be so much worse.


The coffee is damned good this morning, even if I did wake up too early.

I saw the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction, but couldn't take a picture of it. I tried. My phone's camera is good, but not THAT good!

Do you have a real problem with it at your work? I never had too much problems with it when I was working, however, it is a real issue for many women in the workplace.

Yes and no. It's a male dominated industry, but there are more women in it now. We also draw troglodytes. I used to say that construction got the 4 d's: drunks, druggies, dumbasses, and derelicts. It was the only place the ex-cons could get work. But that has all changed at least somewhat this century.
