Evening all,

I think I’m done here. I had one month of happy writing, managed to get some stories published, but I get in from work tonight and I get another AI rejection after submitting a story two weeks ago.

I really cannot be doing with this constant battle with the moderators (where the hell is this AI nonsense for some of the absolute crap that gets published by other authors?) so I am mulling over withdrawing the stories and going elsewhere.

Sorry for the rant but I thought I was over this AI nonsense hurdle.

So I have sussed this now.

Pure crap is obviously not written by AI. So gets through.

But when I read or hear AI answers it is obvious that there are no obscurities in there that could be imagined by a human mind - no nuance, no subtleties, and the only metaphor/simile/analogies are basic, cliché or plagiarism.

If we write Hemingway-esque purest writing - it gets flagged as AI.
You just need to unsimplify your writing by sticking made up words and stupid references into it.

Yep, and I really thought I had it in me, but prior to the last 19 stories published, I had over thirty rejections for AI.

I went out of my way to change the writing style massively to get it through, stopped using Grammarly, shortened the stories and generally have jumped through all of the hoops needed to publish.

I just cannot believe I am back to this. It’s so depressing.
