Okay, dat dere's funny!!!

I feel the same way about the end cuts on a rib roast

I bought a set of stones for sharpening knives - for cutting bitches and other uses. Now I need to get some decent knives.

I have q couple cutco knives those SOBs are SHARP.....I cant find my cutco scissors and I am sick about it.

To me...no judgements...mac and cheese is poverty food. I can make it at home with little mess, I'm not paying for it.
Exactly! I usually get something seafood when I hope out. I love fish but don't like to cook it. And I never deep fry anything. If I am in the rare mood for fried food, we go out for that.

We could make that work.

Happy Saturday!!! Up, kinda running, and still on cuppa #1. The incense is burning. Plotting what to do for the day . . . .
I got the dead fuchsias out of the hanging baskets. I left the baskets in the yard to get rained on. I might fill them with the new starts tomorrow.

The temperature has dropped from the low 70s to the 50s!

I was trying to attach some photos I took today. I'm getting a message they're too large to attach. 😤

I get that message all the time..... I just trim the photos and that seems to work

It's cooling off here, too.

Everything I have ever tried to attach is too effing big, so I don't.

Thank you, Wat! What kind of help are you asking for? 🤔 My back door is permanently locked! 🤭🤭

I wanna make my s'ghetti sauce better. A consistently good recipe. Mine seems to need a little . . . something.

There is a thread called salt and Lavender where she shares recipes. She posted a Tuscan salmon dish that looked yummy.... I like her recipes because it's not a bunch of weird stuff you have to go looking for at the grocery store. But be warned she believes in sugar cream butter.. so basically she likes all the good stuff
Thanks! I'll check it out. Those good things are fine in moderation. Part of my motivation to stay active is that I like to cook and bake!

We can work on one of those recipes, too. I've never made it.

My salmon is my own "creation." Pretty simple really. I'll write it down here when I make it later.
My H used to grill the salmon. We only like wild salmon; I love Copper River season! He put a simple glaze of Worcestershire sauce, butter, lemon, and some seasonings on the meat side. It would go into the grill basket on the skin side at high heat. When the skin was fairly blistered, he turned down the grill heat, took the skin off (we don't eat it), and put more glaze on. Just a few minutes on the meat side is all it would need. It was delicious! The crows get the skin.

I have never made lasagna. Only heated up trays of store bought. By using a foil tray the terrible cleanup is eliminated and the eating can be celebrated. What wine do you like to pair up with?
I don't drink much red wine but I do like a nice syrah or smoth merlot with a meat lasagna.

I like a crisp white or sparkling wine with a veggie lasagne.

Went great. She helped me with a few fetch and carry things and bought me a pillowcase from ww2 that has a sister saying on it. She bought a similar one that has a mother saying. My dad used to sing the poem to my gma
I'm so glad you had a good visit! 🤗🥰🤗

I fry or broil whitefish or walleye. I use a very light breading if frying and just lemon and butter when broiling.
