The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

......just something I was listening to and thought I would share it with any other Floyd's fans. What makes this interesting is that Roger was present reuniting all original members before the passing of Richard, and at the end of the sax solo on "Money"........the camera looks overtop the stage at the four stacks of the Battersea Power station, which of course was the cover for "Animal's"

......are you still writing poems? I imagine current events are impacting you.?
I didn’t see your message till much later.
Still writing. Not as much.

How about you? You still writing poetry? You’re a good writer.

I’m not crazy abt the new poetry challenge format. Was thinking about starting my own thread for just my ideas and thoughts.

For me, writing is a bit cathartic, and I really don’t care what other people think of it, nor do I like writing in other styles. Feels contrived.

Current events are not really impacting me much at all if I’m honest.

Do it!!!

Somebody please tell me WHY grapefruit doesn't agree with my medications
Just spent the last three hours in the ER with allergic reactions...
🤗 really hope you're feeling better!!

I've looked this up several times. grapefruit but interacts with at least one medication. Annoying, isn't it?

Grapefruit Juice and Some Drugs Don't Mix
Excerpt: Many drugs are broken down (metabolized) with the help of a vital enzyme called CYP3A4 in the small intestine. Grapefruit juice can block the action of intestinal CYP3A4, so instead of being metabolized, more of the drug enters the blood and stays in the body longer. The result: too much drug in your body.

Like strong bipolar medications LYBALVI
It's not fun being me or him or her..
Sorry I'm a little schizoid tonight

I do read those, too... just not at the moment.
Will take any recommendations on books/series though. Always open to expanding my reading horizons. :D

Edit: moved book list to PMs so as not to hijack thread

'PMs'? you mean like conversations or the other?

well... phooey 😞 I don't do those

Or is it another thread??

I'm pretty sure if Wonderer67 didn't like something he would call it out..

I don't think he would be upset by a list of books 🤓

Was hoping I'd hear back - yes, I moved the list then found out that PMs wouldn't work in this instance. Not sure my list was exactly on target but here it is again. Not all have... "nibbling" (another "mom-ism"). These are just a few - can't remember them all. And I tend to like a little gunplay or hand-to-hand with my romance. :devilish:

The Hollows series by Kim Harrison
Call of Crows series by Shelly Laurenston
The Spellmason Chronicles by Anton Strout
Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton
Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton
Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs
(the above 2 have some crossover)
Brotherhood of the Black Dagger series (orig & 2nd series) by J. R. Ward (think this is a pseudonym)
Psy/Changeling collection by Nalini Singh
Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Fever series by Karen Marie Moning
Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier (Book 1 was my fave)

@Rj_1954
I'm honestly surprised this doesn't happen more often. The sheer volume and speed at which our cells multiply, divide, and decide what they're going to be? I think it's somewhere around week 6 or 7 that everything begins to tip biologically male or female.

I had a second cousin whose first child had this condition. It can be very stressful and challenging from day one.

I'm enjoying getting to know you and everyone else in the cafe. I hope you like yourself as much as we do and know you're loved and welcome - at all hours. 24-7-365, right? Thank you for sharing something so special and integral. :rose:

I'm male externally, sterile. Internally female, also sterile. I've got more estrogen than testosterone which makes me at war with myself. Henceforth the bipolar drugs. I think the hardest part was menopause...

It ain’t my thread! I just started it.

Post book titles. You guys already did.

Feel better soon RJ!!
I guess I was saying that, if you post it, "they" will come. I will anyway.
Thanks brother! No offense. I don’t care if anyone comes. (Or cums). For me, it’s just a good online place to put poems and writings I got stewing in my head. If other people like it, or want to post, great. If not? Also great.

I would suggest trying to use each at the rate of once a week if possible. I think that vehicles got to Hell if they sit too long. Old bias play tires would get flat spots. Gremlins get into systems and then they require attention. And mice can get in and make nests, too. I attempted to go without a truck and bought a Suburban, and that was a horrible mistake. Those are oversized station wagons. I'll never do without a truck again.

Up and getting running. Time for a coffee refill. Best wishes to everyone for their days, unless you've made Other Plans . . . .
I am doing just that, thanks! I go to the gym twice a week, a 45 minute trip each way. I also learned the hard way. My car wasn't driven for about 6 weeks last year. It needed a new battery; I tried to charge the old one but it wouldn't hold a charge. I had to have it towed from my house to the dealership for the battery. None of the battery places around here would install one as it's a hybrid. 😤
