The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I got my shed and it is enormous..... glad it is what i expected..... ANd my son is torn up from all the rain...so something else to take care of and a couple branches off the tree....
Looks awesome. It looks like the doors open to the outside instead of opening inward. I have a shed that came with the house that appears to be about the same size as yours. When we started parking two cars in the garage I began parking my motorcycle in the shed. There’s plenty of room, but with the doors opening to the inside I have to go through all kinds of maneuvering to get it in and out. I know. A first world problem.

I get it.... I am thinking about windy days and mounting a hold the door open mechanism so I dont get squished....haha

Diet Coke was my go to afternoon drink from the vending machine I was working. Since then, I only drink it on the rare occasions when I succumb to my craving for a McDonalds quarter pounder with cheese and large order of fries. The Diet Coke helps me rationalize the high fat, high calorie, high sodium yet totally orgasmic meal.

I used to drink a bunch of the stuff. I'd buy the two liters when doing this one type of job which usually took a few hours and I'd sip the stuff while working, most of it fairly warm. It sounds nasty just thinking about it.

I have sworn off Micky D's. That said, sometimes they call to me when I ride past, and sometimes I catch the wafting of greasy air coming from the place. It's strangely alluring. I'd get a double quarter, hold the cheese, large combo. Used to be Diet Coke but I realized the hypocrisy of that and switched back to sugar. The last one of those I had was last fall, and it wasn't nearly the taste treat that my mind told me it would be.

Peer reviewed studies have shown that if you wash McDonalds cheese burgers, shakes, and fries down with bourbon it burns the fat and calories. Or you can play it safe and stick to In-N-Out burgers. Those are pretty good and the onions are fresh.

TRUTH: Have you ever kept a relationship secret? When?
I had an affair in my first marriage. Whole thing was a shit show.

My wife knows I’m on lit (we often read hot threads together and sometimes look at nice picture threads on the general board).

She knows I have friends here and that I have played with others in the past. Were open with one another. She knows my friends from lit are often private conversations. And she’s ok with that. When my conversations have gotten sexual or role play, I let her know first.

At least for us, best to be open, honest and transparent.

That was a day…

My buddy who was gonna help me frame out the new stairs, had to bail. We’re gonna knock it out on Tuesday now. I took that day offa work.

But I moved all of the aggregate that the old masonry stairs were made out of and the demo is complete.

Took apart a huge tree that came down last week.

Wanted to mow the lawn, but I’ll knock that out tomorrow. Just chillin, eating olives for dinner, drinking Polish beer and watching star wars movie.

What a day!

During our last trip to California, I got careless and put the In-N-Out order on the debit card. Wife saw the charge and was furious I didn’t bring home any for her. We’re working through it.

Happy Saturday!!! Ready for cup #2 of this morning's coffee. The dogwood out front is in full bloom and the azaleas are following along behind.
My azaleas are starting to bloom, the lilies are coming up. I bought enough fuchsia starts to fill 10 hanging baskets today! And got the dirt for free!

Went to plant my Bonsai’s yesterday and horror of horror’s, I discovered a rotten portion of the trunk of one of my oldest specimens😮😥. My fix is going to be to peel it back, in effect creating a “Shari”, an effect of artificially creating dead wood on a bonsai. Since the plant already has a rotted area, I need to trim it then add Lime sulphur to preserve it (hopefully!). I’ve tried my damndest to kill this tree over the years but she keeps on ticking!

I have to admit up front, I “cheat” on some of my true bonsai trees. You see, I’m on a week on/off schedule and when the temps hit 95f plus, and the kids don’t water them everyday, the trees aren’t happy. My cheat is instead of using the traditional Akadama soil (a clay based soil) and rocks, I have used regular potting soil 😮 ( don’t tell the Japanese Master Gardner’s!) to hold some moisture till I can get home. This way the trees and plants can go a little longer between watering. I think the traditional potting soil is what caused the rot. I’m going to have to come up with a better mixture…

With all that said…here’s your morning Zen:

I want to go there! 😍😍

Good morning to some, afternoon to others perhaps evening too. My back woke me up so going to do some walking as it helps.

I hate aging. First cataracts and their surgery, next broken filling and tooth extraction from bone loss, and finally a colonoscopy. 😮‍💨. Fortunately nothing serious just annoying reminders of aging.

The good thing is I see my girlfriend this morning. And the off for a walk even on a cool morning.
I'm glad the walking helps. And you saw your gf! Life is good!
