The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Had to go to NYC for work yesterday. I can’t imagine driving in anymore, at least during th week. Took a bus. It actually wasn’t too bad.

But man, I dunno how people could do that every day. That’s a younger persons game. And there were people my age doing it. I guess you get used to it….

Time for coffee!!!

Isnt there now a daily use fee in NYC?

Better day today than yesterday - no intrusions. Added another pair of workers to get some more stuff done. And we're getting stuff done. That's what they pay us for.

Weather is decent, but some rain is coming later.

Well, I turn 56 today. Age is a number, but the numbers feel like they're adding up.

On the plus side I'm one of those people who were such a crash and burn lunatic in my younger years that I never thought I'd see this age.
Reminds me of the saying "If i knew i was going to live this long i would of taken better care of myself"

She's a wonderful cat. She was moved inside because other cats started taking up residence in Fred's barn, so there were beginning turf battles. Since Fred has seniority and the landlady loves her, she now lives in the house with her other 4 cats. It took her awhile to acclimate, but she is regularly caught these days playing with the youngest cats. I will miss her company when working on stuff out in the shop, let me tell you.

The two-doors are sexier, but that is, in my opinion, the best looking car design, 2 or 4 door, out of Deeetoit during the WW2 period.

Oh, Happy Wednesday to all!!! Coffee is up - ready for cup #2.
Lucky girl, living her best life in the house! She'll live longer, too!

Happy Wednesday! 😎

Good morning. Another warm day into the upper 60s. Rain is coming.

Parents of the young man convicted of murder of his high school classmates, were sentenced to maximum prison sentence. It’s the first time that parents were tried and convicted of manslaughter based on their missing obvious warning signs of mental illness of their son.
It's actually in the 50s today! And I was able to wear my cute pink sunnies to the gym! 😎

IDK how one misses those kinds of signs in their children. 😤😤 It's tragic for everyone. 💔

I truly hate having to drive into the city for anything! I stay as far away as possible. I can get just about anything I need in the little podunk towns.

Is that even coffee??
Peet’s “Major Dickerson’s Blend” fresh out of the burr grinder. Eleven grams of coffee and 350ml of 160° water lovingly poured over to perfection as evidenced by the crema rising.

I am an old school coffee guy. Percolator. Black and bitter. A combination blend of chock full of nuts and Costco brand coffee.
What, your Kurig in the shop? 😁
