Better call hospital he needs a stat admit to icu....hahahaha
For real! I feel like I'm running an ICU here and he's on his call light every 5 minutes! He is so needy! 🙄😤

So, do we have any lawyers in our group? What happens if he "accidentally" gets strangled or something? Can I plead temporary insanity, dementia, or something? 🤣🤣🤣

What are everyones favourite take outs? Mine is pizza and the wifes is fish n chips, which I also enjoy, it's just that pizza is my first choice.
We recently discovered a place nearby that does the most fantastic fish n chips, and that's what we'll have for lunch today. Their portions are so generous, even I order a "small". The first time we went there, a friend warned us the portions were big, but I still ordered medium, simply because I never order a small of anything. Well I did finish it, but I felt way too bloated afterwards.

Or some car is doing something stupid and the truck jack knives attempting to avoid killing them because said car thinks a semi that weighs 85000 lbs can stop on a dime... I would say that the world is full of shitty drivers and doesn't matter the wheel they are sitting behind
You're absolutely right, Miss K! I did not mean to paint all truck drivers with the same brush.

My perspective is somewhat skewed because of a former partner. He drove truck (gasoline and jet fuel), was an alcoholic, and an absolute Mr. Hyde when he was drunk.

My apologies to any of you who are responsible truck drivers! 🙏

Yep I drove readymix and trust me you learn to know what other drivers are going to do before they do. I was not as good as your dad but very rarely was it driver air on this driver.

My god I hope he pulls through!! I hear soup and a lot of, umm, sympathy, is a cure-all in most cases. Oh and making sure the remote is close so that he doesn’t have to exert himself to change the channels 🥰
It's been touch and go here!🙄 He asked me yesterday why I never get as sick as he is. I said I do; I just don't whine and moan about it! 😤🤣

For sure...my dad was a professional driver.... trust me there is a difference. He drove almost 3 million miles accident free. By the way it is $250,000 miles one way to the Moon. He was a road star, and when he retired last year was inducted into his company's Hall of Fame. He was 83 when he's retired. I have an uncle that died in a truck accident caused by a car coming out and cutting them off from a dog racing track. His load shifted when he tried to break he turned the wheel to miss them so he didn't kill them all and it killed him instantly. And when I was in second grade something similar happened to my dad and he was caught inside of it on fire and metal was Dripping on him. Bad drivers are bad drivers doesn't matter what kind of wheel they're hanging on to. But when you're driving around 85,000 lb loaded bad stuff happens
I'm so sorry, Miss K! 🫂🙏🫂

Many of them drive under really awful contracts or conditions. Especially those that don't own their own truck.
This is true, I believe a lot of accidents involving big trucks are due to driver fatigue. We also had a horrific bus accident here on Friday, a bus driver obviously lost control on a bridge, somehow managed to crash through both a concrete and a steel barrier, and plunged 100 metres before hitting a cluster of rocks and bursting into flames. 45 Dead, the only survivor being and 8 year old girl who was fortunately flung out before it went over the edge.

Ours used to be pizza but since I started making my own, it's now Chinese. When I go out to eat or get takeout, I like to get things I can't/won't make at home.

I do love fish and chips. I'll only eat it in a restaurant. By the time we would get anything home, it's too cold. I find fish & chips difficult to reheat.

💔😭💔 OMG! That is so sad! That poor baby girl!

I agree, especially the chips, they don't keep well and must be eaten soon after frying. We occasionally have a pizza evening at home when we will make our own, but to me that's more about the fun of actually making them, me and my son take over the kitchen and we have a lot of fun and banter in the process of producing the pizzas, I tend to consume a fair amount of wine in the process, lol.

That sounds like a wonderful bonding time with your son. When my kids were visiting last summer, we had a pizza night. Everyone was in the kitchen making different pizzas. I bought some small 8" pans for individuals. We also made a couple of 12" pizzas. It was a really fun night.
