Yay! Operation Mindcrime is a fantastic album, but it's leaning a bit more towards the sound of Keeper of the Seven Keys than Metal Opera. All incredible, but I'd say incomparable.

And yeah, I thought you'd like the potluck of legends! There's something for everyone when listening to Avantasia Mystery of a Blood Red Rose was written with Meat Loaf in mind, but he backed out at the final minute as they were set to record, never giving a reason as to why... Saddening

I wasn't comparing it to Mindcrime's sound, just that that is my pinnacle for concept albums, no offense meant to Savage (Dead Winter Dead being my favorite) or Helloween.

Oh, Meat Loaf...wow. His theatricality would have been brilliant for that. I also think Dio would have been amazing as well. Yes, this is keeping my attention for quite a while...
