Very nice! Love your tone, it’s not Strat-ey at all. I didn’t know they made the HH option. Good looking axe. Thanks for the post.
Here is my disclaimer. Good, bad or somewhere in between, this is me. It was my 5th try (I think), and in a different key then I usually play this (I learned it in E, the original is in C).

I really can’t get a proper sound out of a regular strat, and don’t care for maple fretboards. Both facts became apparent to me when I bought a new strat in the mid 80’s.Very nice! I had one that same color but with a maple fretboard way back in the 80s. It might still be in the attic, you’ve got me wondering.
I adore the bass work in this tune. So cool!!!!Boardwalk
I just installed a set of Duncans in my other Tele. The stock Fender single coils were too buzzy and they make a noiseless Tele pickup. Almost bought the Fender noiseless but my guitar teacher recommended the Duncans.I really can’t get a proper sound out of a regular strat, and don’t care for maple fretboards. Both facts became apparent to me when I bought a new strat in the mid 80’s.I put Seymour Duncan pickups in it, replaced the neck with an ebony fretboard, and eventually sold it to my brother. I think he still has it.
My current strat also has Seymour Duncan pickups too - I love those things.![]()
I think you made the right choice. I have never had Seymour Duncan pickups I didn’t love. I am not sure why I went with the Fender noiseless pickups, I think it was a matter of cost at the time.I just installed a set of Duncans in my other Tele. And why do I have 2 Teles in rotation but the Strat is forgotten in the attic? That’s a good question. I’m glad you asked it. Well you see, Beav, your mom and I…![]()
Yes - I know treble and trouble are not the same word. But this is still what popped into my head when I thought "treble", and c'mon - somehow being wrong with this song just feels right.Treble
Love that swing feel. This is just an honorable mention...
Meghan did a great job on her song, and I think her performance is adorable. But Postmodern Jukebox doing a cover of it... with these three amazing ladies is soooooo goood!!!!! Their singing is incredible, and the catty looks they give each other makes me laugh every time.
Then I'll go with this "Sunshine" song.Love that swing feel.
I like this one betterDamn, too late!
Again.... this song is what came to mind. The problem was finding a version that does the concept justice.... Young Frankenstein's version would have been fun... but Bing was soooo smooth!!!!Pill

Our community band is performing this on Wednesday. It's all I can do to not shout out "puttin on the ritz" in Peter Boyle's monster voice when it comes around in the song.Again.... this song is what came to mind. Ya think?
Now… goin’ out on a limb here… just a guess… but I would say… that has got to be a Tele.![]()
Actually, I think I read that Mel did that part. Our community band is performing this on Wednesday. It's all I can do to not shout out "puttin on the ritz" in Peter Boyle's monster voice when it comes around in the song.![]()
