Endless Ends

I was wrong(ish). Chest plates, not ab plates.
Most interesting.

Lots of things I hadn't realized. How iconic the score. That Julie Andrews (female lead) was THE SEXY REALTOR IN MURDER SHE WROTE.

They're totally right about how sexualized the big swim is, like a ritualized dance. I saw it first as a child, and it's one of those things that, unrealized, affected my sexual development.

I would love, love, love, to see the film in it's original 3-D.

My knowledge of photography is quite limited, and I find it fascinating how they use perspective and filming position to make Rico as the Water Creature (not tall) look much larger than his counterparts.

It still pops up in theaters every now and then, but it’s hard to find.

Unless you have a friend who bought a 3D TV, and 3D Blu-ray player, and has a copy of the movie in 3D.

One day . . .

Have stumbled on a once long lost movie (out of circulation until the 1960's) . . . "White Zombie" - 1932, reputed to be the first zombie movie, starring Bela Legosi.

I . . . .

Have seen this. Which, pretty sure surprises no-one. :p

The title is a smidge cringe these days, but it's actually a pretty good movie. Had no idea it was the first zombie movie. Now I like it even more.

Booyah. 🕶️

Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse) is remaking this. I think it comes out later this year?
I have to admit, it’s one of the few movies coming out that I want to see.
I am not familiar with Robert Eggers. Is he good?

I would so, so, so love for this to be good. 💗

It will be quite upsetting if they yak it up.

Is this the one with the enormous underground ice cavern in central Europe?

For some reason I thought that was . . . House of Wolfman? House of Frankenstein?

Yes? No? Yes?

It never ceases to amaze the never-ending physical work required to keep up the land portion of a piddly six acres.

Onerous work.

Can I say that?

ONEROUS

Yep. I can. :p

-A (large) dead tree has started dropping branches. En masse.
-Oaks and roses need trimming.
-Trees knocked down by a storm 5 years back block access across back of property.
-Washout is . . . continuing to wash out.
-A Fence needs repair.

And that's on top of the usual maintenance. . . .

Is it possible to have a male harem? A muscly male harem?

Taking applications.

Must be able to lift a full five-gallon gas can and start a chain saw first try. :p

I have concerns, but it’s also the only movie I’m looking forward to this year.

Why do I feel like your “harem” is strictly for yard work? 🤣

This is application is superb!!!

I'm not even sure how to reply. :ROFLMAO:

I am so rarely caught without words. :p

As I lay awake, waiting for dawn to break enough to start to work (Naturally I couldn’t sleep, thinking of the chainsaw. 😂) I pondered the vagaries of non city/suburban home ownership. If you have a dead 30-foot tree impinging on your fence line, which happens to front a road, who is responsible for removal?

Technically, the county, one would suppose, but I did say impinge, and fence line doesn’t necessarily imply property line, and who does one call anyway?

Dropping branches doesn’t indicate imminent danger, especially in a tree this side, but if it did fall it would certainly fall on the road.
In the city and the burbs these things just sorta . . . happen.

You know, magically. :p

Sounds like a trip to the library is in order.

You know that thing we're you tell people you are going to do something, then something happens and you can't or don't do the thing you told people you were going to do?

Welp.

It rained. A lot. Seems I should have checked the weather forecast.

*le sigh*
