Just nearly had an argument with this woman on the street. Apparently her dog isn't great with other dogs wanting to jump around and play.... she was walking along with her dog off its lead. thankfully I stopped myself from telling her what I thought.

100%. I think he was well trained though... some dogs just don't like playing with other dogs! If that's the case and you're walking where you know there will definitely be other dogs.......

Can't beat a labrador... I have a 12 week old Yellow lab pup and a 3 1/2 year old Romanian rescue. We lost our black lab last year

Sorry for your loss. One of the reasons it took so long for me to get a dog was because I don't think I'll be able to deal with the loss at the end.

This fella is 8 months. I was looking at photos from when we got him, it's amazing how quickly he's grown!

It's a tough pain to handle, no doubt about it. Anyone who tells you things like "it's just a dog" or "you shouldn't treat them like your kids, so you won't get too attached" have never experienced the unmitigated joy only a dog gives you when you come home from work etc.

160ish miles of motorway await me now. Oh yay.

Morning all. Just to echo the comments on dogs. They’re the best. I’ve grown up around Cocker Spaniels all my life. They’re loyal, brilliant, loving dogs. I miss having one around.

Absolutely saying that with a straight face. Cocker. Sorry, not sorry.
