The kool part of zombies is that they'll just stand there so you can even kill 'em with a stick. That means high powered rifles aren't really needed. What you need is the ability to reach out and touch a zombie within about 1 MOA at 500 yds.

.22LR does that. Provided you have a good zero and optics. .22.250 just does it faster without wasted brass.

CZ makes an incredible 22lr rifle for the money. Tack drivers. Even thier takedown model is a sweet little gun.

For .22LR I think the Ruger is probably the best out there for general use.

For long distance tack driving you'll need to build something for that specific purpose. There are some who are getting repeatable accuracy at 1000 yds out of .22 LR. Not much energy left, but flies don't need whacked all that hard.

Dude I can't see that far! LOL I just want a reliable, fun, plinking target rifle that on occasion can take out pest beasties in my yard.

I love the 10/22, but to be honest I think the Henry is more accurate.
