That the world should all celebrate thanksgiving … not as a colonial holiday of terribleness but as a coming together of family, friends and food. It should all be celebrated at the same day around the world.

My Mohawk grandmother did not celebrate Thanksgiving. Rather, it was a feast of what was grown and hunted: Tons of root vegetables, meats included fish (eel especially yuck), venison, rabbit, wild turkey, pheasant. Pies were made, no apple though, those were forbidden at the Thursday table.

Most controversial opinion:
Everyone in the world should learn the same primary language. I don't care if it's an existing one or one created for the purpose, but it's beyond stupid that we don't all share a language. This only becomes more true the more connected the world gets. Local languages could still be kept as second languages to preserve cultural identities.
