What’s your most controversial opinion?

It might not be the 16th century but UK law says:

The possible consequences of being caught shoplifting are: You may end up being arrested and taken into custody. If you are convicted in court of shoplifting, you can be fined and/ or jailed for up to six months if the goods are worth less than £200; or for a maximum of seven years if they are worth more than £200.

Your idea to control a violent incarcerated community is to give them all knives. I can see that approach really taking off.

I never mentioned burglary. I was talking about small white collar crimes, prostitution, non-payment of fines, shoplifting. I know there is no such thing as a victimless crime but there are crimes for which a jail sentence should not be handed down.

Education and rehabilitation are what is needed in a lot of cases not some fucking idiot’s idea to hand out knives.

Give your fucking head a wobble!
I don't think I could wobble my head enough to think on your intellectual wavelength, but thanks for joining in with your charming eloquence.

Based on the 6 or 7 hours I've spent falling asleep while listening to podcasts on the topic, I strongly suspect that, 50 years from now, most people will look back and view what we now call justice as a barbaric travesty, due mostly to advances in psychology, neuroscience and genetics. But by then it won't matter as much, because most crime will have been eliminated by inhibitory pharmaceuticals and the surveillance of our AI overlords. At least until they decide it's time to cull the herd.

Yeah, that's money that you could spend on cereal to drip feed milk into so the cereal doesn’t get wet... 😬🤣🤣
It's not so the cereal doesn't get wet, it's so it doesn't get soggy. And you said it backwards the milk is already in the bowl...it's the cereal that gets put in a little at a time. Crazy? I'm not crazy I swear.

YES!!!! I love laughing, I'm usually the clown of our group of friends, but I never think it's a good idea to make someone the butt of the joke. There's no need when there are so many other ways to be funny.
What’s wrong with the butt? I like big butts and I cannot lie….

I think “pretty” can be pulled off as well by some men as it is by many women, and it’s a shame there aren’t more men - masculine/ feminine whatever- who go for it. 🤷‍♀️

I agree. And once society gets rid of its hangups about makeup, clothing, etc a lot more people will be happy.
