Wat's Guns-N-Stuff Thread

I'm beginning to believe what your saying as well.
I have a question for you if you don't mind... Do you believe/think that these school tragedies are some how coordinated or planned, or that this is a deeper agenda to have these children die to further the anti gun agenda? To "trigger" public emotions against the guns ... it just seems, feels there is something off if you get my "drift"....
No, I don't think they're coordinated or planned at some higher level. I do believe that they are enabled by an overly tolerant society though. In virtually every case of a mass school shooting the warning signs were there and the individual should have been institutionalized.

How many shootings are actual, person gone off the rails and just kills random in a vent of rage. How many are gang related. How many are revenge. Or just two turds fighting and it turns deadly.... try sorting the differences...
They're all actual when a projectile leaves the muzzle.

Hysteria over fentanyl (every single dose self-administered).
Disinterest over gun deaths because hey, some may be self administered, some might be caused by nutters and some might be gang disputes.

OK, I could go with this....^^^^^ your very correct about the warning signs either being neglected or just plain ignored. As in the case of Uvalde, (where the trans person committed the atrocity, I believe) the trans person was using HRT without any supervision. That shit is about half assed dangerous. It can and does trigger dangerous depression.... I checked into hrt for myself... just too risky for me..... ps. that I would have been under supervision before I would been scripted the meds...

I don't think "overly tolerant" is the proper euphemism. It seems to me that society in general is extremely tolerant but also understands that there's a line which shouldn't be crossed. However, there's a politically ideological branch out there which insists that those on the other side of that "line" be "included" or else it's society which is in the wrong because of racism, bigotry, or whatever flavor of slur is popular this week.

Society is being forced to accept the dangerous and unstable into a gentle population which cannot defend itself against the deranged because the government has taken society's tools and abilities to do that away from them.

For their own good of course.

It is that unstable portion of society which is causing the harms and yet that politically ideological branch of our society blame those in society who harm no one as being the cause of the problem. It is whackery and fruitcakery at its finest.

Not many of those 2A decisions are going the way the states want them to these days.
And why the end is inevitable. Kiss goodbye our GDP. Be reliant on Texas. Gonna be fun to watch the tears. But remember...it was your choice

Your wailing and gnashing of teeth is impressive. Ineffective, but impressive nonetheless.

I agree.

A survey that came out recently indicates that ~20% of the US public wants their state to secede from the Union. The irony is that it was democrats that recorded the highest percentage. Go figure.
That same survey said half of the American public likes peas and mayonnaise on their pizzas.

wouldn't trust it. nope. uh-uh.

Now I know yall get some kinda snow.
The first year we had a snow of about 2 inches. Second year a couple of dustings. Last year a little show, less than an inch around Christmas. It's usually gone in a day or 2. Not like Wisconsin with days of below zero temps and feet of snow. Man I hate that shit.

Wat was in K-ville one winter when 2" of sneaux arrived. The place was goofy for 2 days. That was it for the winter. That's Bearable Sneaux.

Some great news for the Californians on this thread. This is a big deal out there! 👏

Federal judge overturns California ban on high-capacity gun magazines

There is a ten-day stay on his injunction order that gives time to the State to appeal to the 9th Circuit which now has to decide the issue using the Bruen standard which is, text as informed by history. So it looks like the magazine ban is out the window in CA.

I have it on decently reliable authority that California's assault weapons ban (Miller) is on the chopping block. As is the ammo law which requires a background check and all purchases of ammo being required to go through a FFL and be face to face transactions (Rhode).

If you think the anti-gun tears are flowing now, wait a month. By next year the ban on open carry might be gone too (Baird).

I absolutely Fucking HATE snow. It was one of the main reasons we moved to Tennessee.

I have a physical reaction whenever I'm around the stuff. My nose gets red and I begin to have shivering fits all over my body. Coughing starts after that followed by an overall feeling of being feverish with cold chills.

I think all of the gun controls that Benitez has already declared unconstitutional but are still in the pipeline will be upheld. Those draconian laws against 2A in California will be history.

The Duncan decision he just released goes into detail about how the early years didn't have much in the way of gun control laws and when various states tried it, they got shut down for being unconstitutional. He even mentions how California tried to ban concealed carry in the mid 1800's but had to repeal the law because the cops were only arresting the good guys and the bad guys were still carrying concealed.

I believe an 11% tax on firearms and ammunition passed the state legislature last week that Governor Newsom will surely sign. I’ll probably be purchasing large quantities of ammo to bring into the state for friends during future visits.

This will be seen by the courts as a punitive extortion fee in order to exercise a Constitutional right, like charging a fee in order to engage in free speech. I think it will be rejected by the courts. Note the tax he proposed is in addition to the taxes already paid in firearm and ammunition sales. It will do nothing to solve gun violence.

In view of a recent federal court ruling we may see open carry return to CA as well.
