Actually the Silver Maple is 100% native to Wisconsin and the grass in my yard was whatever grew there, and had grown there since my former in-laws bought the place in 1946. So I'm not sure what you point is. Native trees or not 12 or more inches of leaves will completely cover your grass and kill it.Key word is in bold. AS to the non natural trees leaves killing your non native grass. That is a whole other topic.
Actually, if you want to make a comment like that at least be factual. Since the dog apprehended him he must have had to put down his chew toy so he could do his job.Perhaps that act served to galvanize the searchers to put down their donuts and to do their jobs.
In other news: Day # 15,491: Wat went to sleep with a loaded firearm within reach and somehow was able to survive the night.
I wonder...what would Google give me if I search something like "0.22 caliber murder rate"?
I've owned a 10/22 Carbine for 44 years. It is accurate, reliable and a great varmint and plinking rifle. Amazingly it hasn't wounded or killed anyone. It looked like a scoped Ruger 10/22
I stand corrected on theSilver Maple. I didn’t think it was naturally growing that far west.Actually the Silver Maple is 100% native to Wisconsin and the grass in my yard was whatever grew there, and had grown there since my former in-laws bought the place in 1946. That would depend on whether you included the CIA, KGB, and the mafia, whose popular choice for assassinations was the .22 pistol. If I remember right the OSS/CIA used the suppressed High Standard .22lr pistol.I wonder...what would Google give me if I search something like "0.22 caliber murder rate"?
You’re from Wisconsin, I did some time at Ft McCoy. Never saw so many deer in all my life hunting. You are quite possibly the most uninformed judgmental hypocrite I have ever had the displeasure to deal with.I stand corrected on theSilver Maple. I didn’t think it was naturally growing that far west.
My point is to people who waste money raking up and bagging leaves. It is unnecessary.
If your lawn is native, then 12” or20” of leaves on it, is “natural” and the grass will do just fine.
Myself I find green manicured grass the most boring thing to view. Not to mention a complete waste of effort.
If you want a green manicured lawn, put in some artificial turf. Your Saturdays or Sundays extra time will thank you!
We had anywhere from 5 to 7 over the years that crossed our yard from our back woods to the woods across the street by the creek that was over there. Heck in the over 40 years I drove in Wisconsin I managed to hit 4 dear, killing 3. One slid sideways into my car door, left no damage but a shit stain on the door!!You’re from Wisconsin, I did some time at Ft McCoy. Never saw so many deer in all my life hunting. Beautiful country.
It can be if some city hick tries to talk about rural life.Grass stuff is fun stuff.
I remember going on our PT 5 mile runs early morning 04:30, you could see hundreds of eyeballs foraging in the fields surrounding our Barracks, what a difference from MA.We had anywhere from 5 to 7 over the years that crossed our yard from our back woods to the woods across the street by the creek that was over there. Oh yeah, we had plenty of fields around by us that would have 50 or more deer. Pretty common. It was almost as common to see dead deer on the side of the road. What a mess it was when a semi would hit one at 70 to 80 mph.I remember going on our PT 5 mile runs early morning 04:30, you could see hundreds of eyeballs foraging in the fields surrounding our Barracks, what a difference from MA.
What I said was I didn't know Acer saccharinum was native to Wisconsin. Is that really to hard to understand? But really, lets not let your grade 8 reading comprehension get in the way of your "anger"....*chuckles*You are quite possibly the most uninformed judgmental hypocrite I have ever had the displeasure to deal with.
Number 1, do you even know where Wisconsin is? Its on the eastern side of the Mississippi River in the upper mid-west. (This ignorance of where Wisconsin is makes me believe you are NOT a US citizen or resident.)
You butted in with a post on my conversation with Ican't, so fuck off with your shit. I don't really care.Number 2, I told you that I tried to keep up with mulching it but with working 2 jobs and having kids that were in hockey that wasn't always possible. I never bagged the leaves, I raked them onto a tarp and dragged them back to my rather substantial compost pile.
You still haven't done anything to make me believe you are n American or even live in the US. No US citizen would remotely consider Wisconsin west. What I said was I didn't know Acer saccharinum was native to Wisconsin. Is that really to hard to understand? And you butted into my conversation with 77 you dumb fuck. You truly are the chosen leader of the galactically stupid. What I said was I didn't know Acer saccharinum was native to Wisconsin. He’s a fucking busybody Canadian. He doesn’t know what planet he’s on never mind where Wisconsin is on the map.You still haven't done anything to make me believe you are n American or even live in the US. No US citizen would remotely consider Wisconsin west.
Using google to find the scientific name for the Silver Maple doesn't mean anything. Any grade school child could have done that.
He also never answered my question..."So tell me Mr Environmentalist what have you ever done for the birds, bees, butterflies, and other wildlife?" But then again I never expected that he could or would. He’s a fucking busybody Canadian. He doesn’t know what planet he’s on never mind where Wisconsin is on the map.
If you're to stupid to figure out my country of origin, well, that's on you......lmfaoYou still haven't done anything to make me believe you are n American or even live in the US. No US citizen would remotely consider Wisconsin west.
