The lit old timers thread

I read an article that said Maine was the state that was safest from climate catastrophes. But we aren't letting any Texans in without a sponsor. So, if any of you decide to escape, get in touch with me.

The dude who looks like kid rock ( I'm back) and the yucky guy who wears a trump hat.

Trump hat has been on most people’s ignore list since his join date. I took Joey off ignore (kid r) to see what was going on.

Take it from me - there’s nothing to see.

Excellent move.

HA! I have lifelong friends who live in Round Pond and I seriously thought of going up there to escape this heat. It's hella hard to get there and would have taken me days, not to mention $$$, so I settled for Maryland. (I'm on this "only nonstop flights" thing while the airlines are so screwed up.)

PS. It's supposed to be 110 in Houston tomorrow. If I'd wanted to live in Death Valley I woulda moved there! DANG! (And at least in Death Valley it cools down at night.) Somewhere around 102-104, my AC unit is simply not happy. Will be surprised if the power grid survives intact tomorrow.

I have a Maine SSN and accent, so I'm good. My wife has a Texas SSN. I'm not too worried, she's used to the weather.

Maryland in August? Still a hell-hole.

Round Pond is a beautiful town. I lived in Waldoboro for a short time as a kid.

But to be fair, Death Valley has much lower humidity.
