Hell would be precisely like this, Murdock mused, sipping amber-colored bourbon from his glass; it mirrored the storm’s fiery light. Lightning arced across the sky, a dance of electrified veins amidst the clouds' roiling rage. Outside his living room window, the ocean scene was an omen, an unsettling precursor to an impending tempest of fate. Over time, Murdock’s mind had become a turbulent sea, the waves of his past crashing against the shores of his present. In the last year, his oceanside home had become a ship in a bottle, and his past sins clung to him like salt on his lips.

What's driving me insane, I wrote an outline. But my mind is just blank right now. No wise cracks about it always being blank, please.

No wisecracks from here. I have experienced the same thing at times. When I'm trying too hard, I just follow the Demi Lovato song advice and just "Let It Go"... I just stop thinking about and clear my mind of it. Maybe I'll do something else. In time, the answers will come, and I'll resume writing.

This has happened with the story I'm writing now. I have the outline and the first part of it, but I had no idea what the solution was going to be, and the ultimate culprit. And then 'thoughts' came to me, just what I thought might be a sidebar line about one of the victims... and what will be the solution slapped me in the face.

So keep it up, and just let the answers come to you...

I'm aware that people have cross-entered previously, in (I think) the Pink Orchid thing and whatever contest occurs around that time. I'm not sure I approve, but I don't run the site; I think it gives an advantage, votewise, being on two special lists simultaneously. Others disagree with me, and that's fine.
