I suspect he has also been influenced by Jordan Peterson and other right-wing culture warriors who have capitalised on the alienation and desperation felt by many young men, and taught him to fear the modern world; to fear the push for equality and fairness, to fear the conception that we are all equally human, to fear anyone who is different to him.

Thing is, young men in this radicalisation trap have no serious future. They are fighting for a bullshit cause -- against all the 'woke' whatever, making America back into some fantasy of the past. They don't realize they are being conned. The leadership of this crazy right-wing revolution don't care about people like TrailerHitch. They see these angry, alienated young men only as cannon fodder in their war for absolute power.

I don't know how a young man can be helped back into a normal, non-violent world view, once he has fallen into the fascist trap. I wish I did, because without help these men are destined to die violently or spend their lives in prison,and that is a horrible waste of life, without even factoring in all the pain and suffering they will inflict on others because of their violent, bigoted beliefs.

We really do have to combat bigotry everywhere we see it, for the future of all of us, and the future of the poor lost little boys like TrailerHitch.
