Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I'm surprised at myself for divulging such things on this main page. You have a family that would miss and cry for you, I have absolutely no-one left. My wife has family, maybe she would miss me.

In this context I simply referred to neuropsychiatric non-deviant. Those not ADHD or autistic, not having Tourette or some brain damage.
I did have something very interesting happen to me several years ago. I had severe stenosis in my lumbar spine that made itself known back in 2019. I had corrective surgery a year later, and my depression got so much better afterwards! Such a huge life change.

I assume you got rid of some pain issues with that surgery? That can make a huge difference.

My weird thing: some of the best days have been when taking a good dose of pain killer (and I mean ordinary ibuprofen here!) for headache. From miserable morning to better than ordinary evening. Like, it should be an antidepressant, but it works like that for me. Unfortunately not a usable solution for mental health, though...

*curls myself into a ball and lets you hug me*

No, not really. Life is trying to overwhelm me, although there's not even anything out of the ordinary. Just more things happening than the bare minimum.
*holds you close rocking you gently and kisses your head again*

I get it…I’ll be here as much as I can be πŸ₯°

We must be brothers, same here!
Could be. I’m adopted.

I only lived with the pain for about a year. I’ve suffered from depression for more than 15 years. Even before my back issue cropped up, I was taking the max dose of Cymbalta. Now I only need half as much!

Why can’t you use NSAIDs if it works for you? Meloxicam is a very strong NSAID that is prescription only drug here (US).

Plenty of side effects, especially ln the stomach and gut. I already have problems with them without ibuprofen.

Did you know that many meds have a bit similar effect to gut biome as antibiotics? NSAIDs included.

I haven’t had issues with NSAIDs myself, but I know a lot of people do. That would absolutely preclude their use chronically.

I take plenty of them for my cluster headaches. I have to take ibuprofen, aspirin, and acetaminophen (paracetamol) at the same time to knock out the pain.

My dad used aspirin for back pain before he had a surgery in the 70's. The doctors didn't warn him about the risk of ulcer, when he told them aspirin works fine and he didn't need a stronger prescription. Well, ulcer is what he got... And it took at least some 10 years before his stomach problems got somewhat in check. All my childhood we were supposed to be quiet in the mornings, because he slept badly so often.

Ibuprofen isn't quite as bad, but the risk is still there. I notice I get more heartburn if I need to use it more.
