So much has changed. Just a couple years ago they weren't supposed to go beyond 5000 posts. But I think someone needs to go in and close the thread, unless that changed too.

And, just because you start another, doesn't mean you have to be the hall monitor. You can let it flow.

It was never automatic before. A mod would have to close a thread when it hit 5000 posts. This one won’t be closed unless I’m asked to close it because a new chaos thread has been started or mods get new guidance from the powers that be.
