Too many redirects

Not sure where else to put this so here goes.

Lately I cannot view any stories, at least not from links. If I click on a link to a story it takes forever to load only to have a message saying it can’t load the page because there are too many redirects.

Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a fix for it?

i have been getting the author's information as if i had done a search, instead of the next page of the story. also many too many redirects and have to clear out my cookies from chrome before i get a clear page.

I’ve been getting it on Safari and Firefox. Frustrating.

Actually that didn’t fix it, it’s still happening. Any other suggestions?

This is a verbatim copy/paste from another post I made elsewhere. Rather than link and grow traffic on that thread where the poster didn’t provide any feedback, here it is again.

quick preliminary questions:
- phone or computer?
-What type?
-Any parental controls or safe browsing or vpn? Any special settings on your router including safe browsing? (I like quad9 for my house router: it strives to block malware not specific content categories).

Pasted below:
things to try:

  1. Add a second browser to your Device. I use DuckDuckGo’s privacy browser for all sordid activities that I may or may not engage in. It’s a great idea, keep your real life and sordid secret lives from crossing, whether you have connection problems or not. Try it. Do it whether it helps or not.
  2. Try your existing browsers privacy or incognito mode. If it works, it’s an indicator that clearing cookies is more likely to help
  3. Clear your cookies/history. Most browsers have a way to clear them for just one site rather than all of them. That’s worth investigating. Too many advice sites have people do things that cause great inconvenience, such as clearing ALL history, passwords, resetting an entire device, etc. don’t believe every piece of advice you read, including mine.
  4. see if your vpn has a whitelist feature. Perhaps you make it treat Literotica as special.
  5. VPNs are mostly good, but not all are perfect. Try at least temporarily turning it off to see what happens.
  6. Here’s a pretty well written article. https://helpdeskgeekt.com/help-desk/how-to-fix-err_too_many_redirects-in-google-chrome/. (I did try the redirect test it mentions. Literotica appears to be ok. ).

[click expand] Good info, thanks. This may take some time as it doesn’t happen all the time. Fortunately the only place where it does happen is just the stories.
