I personally will continue to advocate for the banning or, at the very least, vast scrutiny and obstacles for those wishing to purchase assault rifles. I expect those who truly find them important will have no issue.

I presume you have some polling that shows police morale is at an all time low? Not that there are some highly visible whiny bitches but that morale is low nation wide? I highly doubt anybody in the trans community consider this person a hero at all. There is no reason to think that at all. Was that school targeted? Definitely. We don't really know why but yes it was targeted and when the manifesto is released which I assume will be in the next week or so we'll have more information.

I'll take odds the individual wasn't on any transitioning drugs.

The school was specifically targeted but not because security was lax as some are claiming. They were already planning on dying so the amount of security one way or another probably didn't factor in.

I suspect they did have a target but didn't have the time to get where they were intending to go. They expected people running and cowering, not a little girl pulling the fire alarm instead of saving herself. Not the janitor charging in. No plan survives the battle field and the cops responded quickly and desicively .

You may be right, but I believe there’s enough public sentiment against assault style weapons to make laws to ban them. Even if Heller vs Bruen is a win for 2A MA will with added taxes, fees on weapons and a munitions making it too expensive to own. Then there’s the increase licensing cost, special background checks, special safety training , psychological testing and then the dragging their feet in issuing licenses complaining about backlog. There is evidence of illegal purchases in MA but MA’s AG is doubling down on her efforts to prosecute.
