That’s a little irrational, don’t you think?

"...again" is the nature of my country at times
Okay, this made me really squirm. I’m not arachnophobic by any stretch, but I am allergic to spider bites, and the thought of getting bit on the penis… not just no but HELL NO!

I would really like to visit Australia some day, but holy fuck do stories like these make me uncomfortable.

We don't all die from these things. You check under the toilet seat for snakes and spiders before sitting down. Like most females you hover not sit if you think there are a few around. You shake your shoes before putting on, and give your undies a flick and inspect. That's mostly whitetails not redbacks. The guy has clearly used an unchecked seat and dangled.

Most tourists wouldn't see any.

Is it weird that the older I get, the more I tend to root for nature? 🕷🌱
Go with nature where possible, not controlling or against. It's a lot easier.

On that note though I am currently in Crocodile, King Brown snake, and spider territory so hopefully my scrubland squatting doesn't have too many observers.

That is good advice.
