On another topic, now I am furious with the independent contractor working for social security who said while I was walking my dog in the cold, that their policy was only one call and could not call me back when I returned to the house. I expalined I could provide them with the required information. They said they could not do that.

Consequently, I now have my no shit look on and plan a response to include a copy to my powerful congressional representative to launch an investigation. I am further going to take this to social security that their contractor is rude and uncompromising.

B2 if this is what I think it is. I’d strongly suggest getting a lawyer. It’s a standard practice for SS to deny the claims. Once you lawyer up. The procedure goes much easier.

Thanks Switchy. I want to first see what my Congress person can do. Sometimes, they are more afraid of them than a lawyer as the government has more lawyers than I do. I hope it works. Otherwise, yes a call to my attorney is next. Thanks!

I'd always heard it used only for Italians. Never heard it used for Ibero-Americans.

There's a section of St. Louis that was settled largely by Italians called The Hill. Old-timers referred to it as "Dago Hill." My father still calls it that on occasion, even though most of the Italians moved out of the city a generation ago.
